Demon Slayer Season 4 will cover the Hashira Training Arc!

Naturally, anime fans expect further installments of their favorite series. Finding out what happened to your favorite character after being left on a cliffhanger is undoubtedly an exciting feeling.

That feeling increases exponentially when the series in question is the uber-popular Demon Slayer. The anime adaption by Ufotable of Koyoharu Gotouge s’ manga series has smashed multiple viewership and box office records.  

Considering Demon Slayer only made its debut in 2019 and with other long-running series like Pokémon, Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach incredibly popular, Demon Slayer has amassed one of the largest and most passionate fanbases of any anime media franchise.

Demon Slayer follows the story of Tanjirou Kamado, who, after his father s’ death and an impoverished life, works hard to earn an honest living to support his family.

On his way back from downtown after selling charcoal, Tanjirou finds his entire family massacred by a demon attack, and the only surviving family member left is his sister Nezuko. She has been turned into a bloodthirsty demon.

Things go from bad to worse when the Demon Slayer, Giyu Tomioka, comes across Nezuko and tries to kill her. But to his surprise, Nezuko is different from other demons as she fights off her killing urges and protects Tanjirou.

Impressed by the brother-sister bond, Tomioka spares Nezuko s’ life and tells Tanjirou to find Sakonji Urokodaki, who instructs him to join the Demon Slayer Corps and slay the demon who killed his family.

Can Tanjirou avenge his family s’ death and turn Nezuko back into a human is the central plot of the show.

After the conclusion of Demon Slayer Season 3, fans were wondering when studio Ufotable will renew for Demon Slayer Season 4.

WHAT IS THE DEMON SLAYER SEASON 4 RELEASE DATE?

Demon Slayer season one aired from 6th April 2019 to 28th September 2019 for 26 episodes. 

The series was renewed for a second season which ran in two parts, i.e., part one aired from 7th October 2021 to 28th November 2021 for seven episodes, and part two ran from 5th December 2021 to 13th February 2022. 

Demon Slayer season three aired from 9th April 2023 to 18th June 2023 for 11 episodes. 

On 18th June 2023, after the broadcast of the Demon Slayer Season 3 finale, studio Ufotable greenlit the renewal for Demon Slayer Season 4, which would adapt the Hashira Training Arc.

Unfortunately, an exact Demon Slayer Season 4 Release Date was not confirmed by the studio.

But looking at past release schedules, we can expect Demon Slayer Season 4 to release in Summer 2025.

In addition to renewal, studio Ufotable also revealed a small Demon Slayer Season 4 trailer teaser which featured five Hashiras, i.e., Giyu Tomioka, followed by Shinobu Kocho, Gyomei Himejima, Sanemi Shinazugawa, and Iguro Obanai.

DEMON SLAYER SEASON 4 PLOT

As mentioned earlier, Hashira Training Arc will be a key feature of Demon Slayer Season 4; however, since it’s only nine chapters (Chapters 128-136) long in the manga, will the anime also have reduced episodes?

Before we try to answer that question, here’s a brief synopsis of the Hashira Training Arc.

Tanjiro goes to see the Stone Hashira, Himejima, who intends to prepare him for the battles to come. 

The training to become a Hashira,a high-ranking member of the Demon Slayer Corps, is intense and demanding.Earning Himejima’s approval seems impossible, but Tanjiro won’t give up.

This arc is famous amongst manga readers for explaining Giyu Tomioka’s backstory and re-introducing Sanemi Shinazugawa.

Meanwhile, the demon lord Muzan continues to search for the location of Nezuko and Ubuyashiki.

If Demon Slayer season 4 is adapted into two parts, then we can expect the second part could breach into Final Battle Arc.

The Final Battle Arc is split into two sub-arcs, i.e., Infinity Castle Arc and the Sunrise Countdown Arc.

Infinity castle battle will begin with Shinobu fighting against Upper Rank 2 demon Doma who is unaffected by Poison. Can she avenge her elder sister by killing the demon?

Kyojuro Rengoku was killed in the battle against Akaza. Can Tanjirou avenge him, and will any more Hashiras be killed?

A mega battle between Tanjirou vs. Akaza will be a character payoff fight since Tanjirou s’ training and new abilities will be put to the test.

The Demon Slayers vs Muzan is probably the most looked forward showdown in the Final Battle Arc. 

Despite the many explosions, Muzan s’ regeneration is unmatched, and it’s proving difficult for the Demon Slayers to kill him.
