Doctor Strange 2 Trailer Confirms Two More Multiverse Characters
The latest released trailer shows a new detail from Doctor Strange 2, which confirms the inclusion of two more multiverse characters – Captain Carter and Monica Rambeau.
A few days are left to unravel the mysteries of the multiverse in the upcoming premiere, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The movie produced by Marvel Studios is directed by Sam Raimi. It is intended to be a sequel to the movie Doctor Strange; the first part was released in the year 2016. It is based on a superhero named Doctor Stephen Strange from Marvel Comics.
Doctor Stephen Strange, played by Benedict Cumberbatch, was a brilliant yet arrogant neurosurgeon who got into a car accident because of speeding. As a result of the accident, his hands, the most important tool for his field, became crippled. To seek healing, he went to a place called Kamar Taj, where he met with The Ancient One. There Doctor Strange gets his training in the ways of magic and the multiverse. The first premier of Doctor Strange, released in 2016, introduced this interesting character in Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Doctor Strange’s last movie in MCU was Spider-Man: No Way Home, where to help Tom Holland’s version of Peter Parker, he casts a spell. Fortunately, the spell goes wrong, opening up the multiverse and giving the audience a historical event of MCU, the inclusion of all Spider-Men along with the supervillains on one screen. Although, with the help of Doctor Strange, everything was sorted in the end, the upcoming premiere of Doctor Strange 2 is going to pick from No Way Home’s events.
In the recently released official trailer of Doctor Strange 2, the consequences of the casting of the wrong spell are shown in brief. All the wrong happenings shown in the trailer are the result of one wrong casting of the spell by Doctor Strange. Along with Benedict Cumberbatch, the Doctor Strange 2 cast include Elizabeth Olsen, playing Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong as Wong, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Karl Mordo, and Xochitl Gomez as America Chavez, and Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer.
Doctor Strange 2 – Captain Carter & Monica Rambeau
In the super bowl trailer of Doctor Strange 2, it was revealed that Patrick Stewart is going to return as Professor X and would debut in Marvel Cinematic Universe via this premiere. He was shown in a board room like situation where he is with Karl Mordo and Iron Man’s Ultron like Bots.
The latest trailer of Doctor Strange 2 confirms the presence of Captain Carter, played by Hayley Atwell, and Monica Rambeau, played by Lashana Lynch. Captain Carter, also known as Peggy Carter, was one of the founders of S.H.I.E.L.D and was the most prominent agent of the Strategic Scientific Reserve during and after World War II. Peggy Carte was introduced to the MCU in the premier Captain America: The First Avenger, released in 2011.
Monica Rambeau is the daughter of Maria Rambeau and the youngest friend of Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. She debuted in MCU through the movie Captain Marvel, released in 2019. She was also present in the Disney+ Series of WandaVision, which picks up after the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Marvel Studios’ confirmation of Captain Carter and Monica Rambeau appearing in the Doctor Strange 2 trailer is an exciting update for the fans. However, most of the details about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness are kept secret and will be revealed on its released.
Although there is a possibility that Captain Carter’s live-action debut happened in Doctor Strange 2, a glimpse of Captain Carter and the Scarlet Witch fight can be shown where Peggy uses the Shield, which is shown in the new trailer. The live-action of Captain Carter would hype the audience because she is one of the fan-favourite characters. The series What if..? shows the animation of Peggy Carter becoming Captain Carter, which made the audience see her live-action on-screen.
Doctor Strange 2 will provide a great opportunity for both the characters, Captain Carter and Monica Rambeau, to show their abilities and power and how powerful they are. The fight with Scarlet Witch won’t be easy, which is shown in WandaVision, where she throws Monica away with her powers. With many superheroes alongside Doctor Strange, it would be a thrilling experience to witness a battle with Scarlet Witch.
