ELEVEN DEAD IN STRANGER THINGS 5? + RELEASE DATE NEWS

DID STRANGER THINGS 4 FORESHADOW ELEVEN S’ DEATH?
A new season comes with a new storyline and eventually a death of the old characters or even the recently introduced ones.
Stranger Things 4 already confirmed the death of another fan-favorite character, Eddie Munson. The nature of his death could also be a foreshadowing for Eleven s death too. Let’s first recap how Eddie faces his fate in Stranger Things season 4.
Eddie was introduced in the fourth season as the leader of Hellfire Club, the official D&D club of Hawkins High School, an electric guitar player in his band Corroded Coffin, and Dustin’s friend and role model Henderson.
When the Hawkins team is preparing to fight Vecna, he is part of the plan to serve as a distraction for the Demobats. Dustin and Eddie use the latter s’ trailer as a performance cum distraction stage.
Eddie begins playing his guitar from the top of the trailer, which attracts the attention of the Demobats, and as the Demobats close in, they jump in the trailer for protection.
The trailer holds through the barrage of attacks from the Demobats, but Eddie, in a hurry, forgot about two open vents.
The Demobats make their way inside, and the duo of Dustin and Eddie begin fleeing back to Hawkins after an unsuccessful attempt to block the Demobat s’ second wave of attack.
As Dustin nears the door back to Hawkins, Eddie decides to cut the connection to protect Dustin and continues with the plan of distracting the Demobats.
Initially, he manages to fend them off but ultimately gets wounded by the sheer number of the Demobats.
He succumbs to his wounds and dies, bearing a huge smile as he expresses his happiness in facing the problem and not running away like a coward.
Eddie s’ selfless sacrifice could be a stepping stone and inspiration for the setup of Eleven s’ death in Stranger Things 4.

HOW LIKELY POSSIBLE IS ELEVEN’S DEATH IN SEASON 5?
The simple and straightforward answer is highly possible, not because she will or could but more like she has to.
With Vecna being the biggest threat in the show, the stakes have gone higher than in previous seasons. High stakes usually trigger familiar tv tropes such as savior-sacrifice, which become significant in plot progression.
Here is a piece interview on Esquire of the co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer, who planned to kill Eleven in season 1:
“Eleven was going to sacrifice herself to save the day,” Ross Duffer reveals. “That was always the end game.”
Obviously, that never happened, as Netflix would not want a hit show like Stranger Things without their main lead, and that’s what the duffer brothers said:
But once we realized that the show was potentially going to go on longer than one season, we needed to leave it more up in the air because deep down, we knew the show just wouldn’t really work without Eleven. And at that point, we knew how special Millie was. If there was going to be more Stranger Things, Eleven had to come back.”

HOW WOULD ELEVEN’S DEATH IN SEASON 5 AFFECT THE SHOW?
If Netflix needs an answer to that question, they just need to look at some of the popular TV shows’ final season (We are looking at you GOT) and find out how the viewers reacted.
Stranger Things 4 had given the baton of saving the world to Eleven as she is unofficially now the hero of the series.
The creators would like to be on the safe side while they kill her off, as she saves the world from the Upside Down. To add a touch of romanticism, we would not mind if she bids farewell to the arms of her lover Mike.
Would Eleven Dying Be the Right Choice for Stranger Things? We may not have the answer to that question, but Millie Bobby Brown, who plays Eleven, certainly did as she said:
You need to start killing people off. The Duffer Brothers are sensitive Sallies who don’t want to kill anybody. We need to have the mindset of Game of Thrones. Kill me off! They tried killing David off, and they brought him back!
TheWrap
We appreciate Millie s’ sense of humor, but fans of the show would like to see her character get the best possible send-off.
CONCLUSION
There is no doubt that Stranger Things is coming to an end, but Netflix would not want any post-finale criticism and would definitely like to leave on a high.
