Invincible Season 2 Plot and Expectations
Invincible season one final episode, “Where I came from,” saw Nolan revealing his true identity as a Viltrumite to his son, Mark. Nolan invites Mark to join forces to conquer earth but fails. As a result, the Omni man beats his son to a pulp and, in the process, destroys the whole city of Chicago.
Nolan tries again to explain to Mark the benefits of conquering the earth, but Mark lying lifeless in a pool of blood only replies with a “Dad.” Nolan is left speechless and angrily jets off from the earth.
The conclusion of the Nolan affair has ramifications across the globe. Mark receives a warning from Allen that the Viltrumite will soon set their sights on Earth, and the recent treachery of Nolan may exacerbate tensions with the empire.
As the finale draws to a close, Mark and Amber reconcile their relationship amidst the looming threat of malevolent forces intent on altering the very fabric of the planet.
Invincible Season 2 will most likely stay true to the original content, which means we will get many new characters. One such character will be the main antagonist, i.e., Angstrom Levy. He will be looking to seek revenge for his disfigurement and mauler twins by using his shape-shifting abilities.
The second season will also explain where and why did Omniman leave earth and what his plans are now. Without spoiling too much, Nolan will face repercussions from the Viltrumite, for which he would need to provide compensation.
As we saw in episode four of season one, Sequids, after impersonating an Astronaut, have now taken over Mars and the Martians. Season 2 invincible will include the Sequid’s invasion of the earth as the central plot.
Finally, Mark will become even more significant as he has to protect the world and his fatherless family. When I say family, I don’t mean just his mother but also his newfound brother.
[Spoilers]Yes, when Mark meets Nolan on the conquered planet of Thraxan, the latter reveals that he has fathered another child. As Nolan is taken away by the Viltrumites, Nolan asks Mark to take care of his little brother.
Many storylines and characters will be introduced in Invincible season 2, and it remains to be seen how the whole show pans out.
