Legacies is one of a slew of The CW shows set to return for a second season, but with the caveat that they’ll be broadcast somewhat later than normal. Here’s what we know so far about Legacies season 3 and when you can watch it on Netflix around the world.

If you haven’t seen it yet, Legacies is a spin-off of The Original. Interseingly, The Original is itself a spin-off of The Vampire Diaries and all of these are available on Netflix for most regions except the Legacies series. Notably, this non availability is not forever but for sometime.

Aria Shahghasemi, Quincy Fouse, Matthew Davis, Kaylee Bryant, Jenny Boyd, and others star in the well-received film, which has an excellent Rotten Tomatoes ranking. Legacies season 3 should be at the top of every fan’s or subscriber’s watch list for a variety of purposes.

Is Legacies series already streaming on NETFLIX?

We already have season 1 and 2 airing on Netflix in the United States region where premiere of Season 1 has happenned in April 2019 while that of season 2 happened in April 2020 (basically after an year long time). These seasons also arrived on the streaming site eight days after the final episode of the season, indicating that it will launch this summer. Because of the covid19 pandemic, networks have altered their plans. So, barring any unavoidable delays, this timeline for the next chapter of Legacies to premiere on Netflix seems realistic.

Legacies series is only available in the United States as of now airing on Netflix and shortly we assume that the series is unlikely to be distributed worldwide. Season 3 of Legacies will not air on The CW in October, as is customary. Instead, it’s been relegated to The CW’s schedule alongside the other shows. This is due to the coronavirus epidemic, which has impacted production on the season, as well as several other series on Netflix’s lineup.

Instead of filming later in 2020, the show premiered on January 21st, with 16 episodes planned.

Legacies season 3 Availability:

Regrettably, due to the wait on network television, it will also be delayed on Netflix.

Eight days after the season finale, and in April, the previous two seasons were released on Netflix. Legacies season 3 is unlikely to premiere on Netflix until July-September 2021, due to the almost three-month wait.

As of now, there is no official confirmation so far for the Legacies season 3. The only issue is that the launch timeline is uncertain due to the latest coronavirus pandemic. You can predict a break if productions are already shut down in June, July, or August. The third season is scheduled to debut in October if produces return to a more regular schedule this summer.

No need to worry as the show’s future looks bright, with a fourth season set to air later this year.

The students of the Salvatore School for the Young and Gifted are the focus of Legacies. Caroline Forbes founded the school in memory of Stefan Salvatore, who died in the Vampire Diaries series finale. Caroline (Candice King) does not appear in the series. Rather, her girls, Josie and Lizzie, say that she is away at the academy working on various projects. In Lizzie and Josie’s absence, Alaric Saltzman, Lizzie and Josie’s father, runs the school in Mystic Falls.

Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore are two other actors who have been mentioned but not seen on the screen. At the end of the season, they’d both taken the vampirism antidote and were playing out their mortal lives in Mystic Falls. Elena is the town veterinarian, and Stefanie, their daughter, attends Mystic Falls High School. Elena and Damon make their first appearances in Legacies in season 1 episode 10, as does Stefanie Salvatore.

Fans are excited to see if any of the cast members from The Vampire Diaries will be on the show.

Count of episodes in Legacies Season 3:

At the time of publication, the cumulative number of episodes in Legacies season 3 was unknown.

Seasons one and two, on the other hand, each had 16 episodes.

Season 3 will premiere on US Netflix on May 14th if season 3 maintains the same 16-episode schedule – and if episodes are published weekly with no breaks. If there are gaps in episodes, however, later in May or early June seem to be more likely.

Future of Legacies outside United States?

Despite the fact that The Vampire Diaries and The Originals are available on Netflix worldwide, most countries have yet to purchase the film.

That isn’t unprecedented, but Netflix has recently placed a stronger focus on its own global Originals rather than licencing select US shows for international audiences.

We’ll update you if things change, but that doesn’t seem to be the case right now. Most areas will have to wait for HBO Max to be released globally.
