Production studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.
Financially, the final volume of Sasaki to Miyano Blu -ray sold 1,170 copies and 717 for DVD.
Total of 1,887 copies were sold in its first three days, and it was ranked #6 in Japan’s Top 10 Weekly Anime Blu-ray and DVD Ranking for 20th June 2022 to 26th June 2022.
Meanwhile, Sasaki To Miyano manga Volume 5 sold 5094 copies and was ranked #2 on Top Weekly Manga Sold in the US from 24th April to 30th April 2022.

Currently, studio Deen has one project (Power of Hope) scheduled for 2023 and is yet to announce any future series.
However, when it comes to producing sequels, the studio has only greenlit two series (Sorcerous Stabber Orphen and The Seven Deadly Sins) in the last few years.
Hence, it will come down to the studio s’ discretion on whether to go forward with Sasaki To Miyano Season 2 or not.

SASAKI TO MIYANO SEASON 2 PLOT
In the final episode of Sasaki To Miyano Season One, “A Tiny Episode From Before He Realized His Feelings,” A little while before Sasaki and Miyano started dating, the school disciplinary board changed.
Sasaki says they are not, however, he does not deny caring deeply about him, and Kurosawa vows to help them both, come what may.
Miyano strolls in on the discussion, and Kuresawa, expecting that Sasaki has not admitted and not having any desire to humiliate Miyano, lies and says Sasaki is assisting him with his schoolwork.
Nonetheless, Sasaki is awkward about being untrustworthy with Miyano and later lets him know the genuine explanation they were talking about.
Since the first season covered till Volume 8, then, Sasaki and Miyano Season 2 characters and plotlines adapt Volume 9.
