Sound! Euphonium Season 3 is greenlit with first look!
Musical animes coupled with a slice of life have recently grown in popularity.
One can witness a variety of representations of musical forms, be it solo or group, form an interesting backdrop to the main plot line.
During the Spring 2015 season, an anime adaptation of Ayano Takeda’s novel series Sound! Euphonium was produced and broadcasted. This particular series was included in the slate of new releases for that season.
The narrative revolves around the Concert Band Club of Kitauji High School, which had previously attained a championship-level status and actively participated in national tournaments.
However, after the club s’ adviser changed, the band has not been the same and has failed to qualify for the tournament.
It is currently not feasible for the band to participate in the upcoming local festival, Sunfest, and subsequently, they will not be able to compete at a national level.
The main protagonist, Kumiko, is a first-year high school student who is indecisive and awkward.
The individual in question has a tendency to inadvertently vocalize their thoughts, and in addition, they frequently question their own decisions, even regarding matters as trivial as ice cream flavors.
Kumiko tends to maintain a low profile and refrain from drawing attention to herself. She prefers to avoid conflicts whenever possible and is quite obliging when it comes to accepting whatever comes her way.
The individual in question possesses the skill of playing the euphonium. Despite expressing a desire to embark on a new journey, peer influence leads her to join the school’s band club, and she finds herself once again playing the euphonium.
The band s’ fortunes change when a new advisor named Noru Taki is appointed, who gives them two choices, i.e., train hard for the nationals or relax and have fun.
Will the Kitauji High School Concert Band Club regain its former glory, and how will Kumiko s’ get along with new bandmates as she rediscovers her passion for the euphonium is the central plot of the show.
