During the course of their meeting, Ichigo is suddenly exposed to an unknown source of light and subsequently loses consciousness. Upon waking up, Aoyama is present and fortunately, Ichigo is not injured. However, both individuals are faced with the task of evading a large, rat-like creature which caused injury to Aoyama.
In order to rescue her love interest, Ichigo manifests her latent abilities and transforms into a formidable heroine with feline attributes. Following her victory over the adversary, researchers Ryou Shirogane and Keiichiro Akasaka elucidate that Ichigo had been designated to participate in the Mew Project.
The project involves a team of five genetically enhanced individuals, known as magical girls, whose DNA has been infused with that of certain endangered species.
The primary objective is to locate and assemble the entire team to thwart the Chimera Anima beings, which have been infected by aliens with the intention of world domination. The mission requires immediate action to prevent any untoward incidents.
Tokyo Mew Mew New Season Two was received with mixed reviews, however, fans who enjoyed the sequel are wondering if there will be a third installment or not.

WHAT IS THE TOKYO MEW MEW NEW SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE?
Tokyo Mew Mew Mew Season One aired from 6th July 2022 to 21st September 2022 for 12 episodes.
The television series was granted a renewal for a second season, which aired from April 5th, 2023 to June 21st, 2023, encompassing a total of 12 episodes.
At present, we have not received any official communication from Yumeta Company and Graphinica regarding the renewal status of Tokyo Mew Mew New Season 3.

While Tokyo Mew Mew did return after two decades, the second season, similar to the first, failed to break into the top-rated comedy fantasy list of Spring 2022 with a rating of 6.6/10 on MyAnimeList.
Tokyo Mew Mew Mew New is the remake of the original series animated by Tokyu Agency and Studio Pierrot.
Fans of the original were glad that the series was making a comeback after almost 20 years, but just like most remakes, it failed to live up to the expectations.
Anime has come a long way, and unlike the noughties, modern anime fans are more inclined toward mainstream genres like Shonen, Isekai, Slice of Life, and Adventure.
Nevertheless, Shoujo still has a massive fanbase, and Tokyo Mew Mew holds a lot of nostalgic weight as, for many fans, it was their first Magical Girl anime series.
Currently, both studios do not have a busy schedule, with only two projects listed for each. However, the second season had a satisfactory ending, so unless the demand is high enough, it won’t be a surprise if Tokyo Mew Mew New had its final course.

TOKYO MEW MEW MANGA CATCHUP
The Tokyo Mew Mew manga is a serialized work of fiction written by Reiko Yoshida and illustrated by Mia Ikumi. It first appeared in Nakayoshi magazine in September 2000 and concluded its run in February 2003.
The manga s’ 29 chapters have been collected into seven volumes, with the latest issue released on 4th April 2003.
In April of 2003, a sequel titled Tokyo Mew Mew à la Mode made its debut in the popular Nakayoshi magazine. The sequel ran until February of the following year and was written exclusively by Mia Ikumi. It was subsequently published in two volumes.
In December 2019, an additional spinoff called Tokyo Mew Mew Olé!, made by Madoka Seizuki, began running in Nakayoshi. The spinoff focuses on a new team of male Mew Mews.
The Tokyo Mew Mew manga concluded in August of 2022 with a brief two-chapter sequel titled Tokyo Mew Mew 2020 Re-Turn, created by the original authors.
The publication of this sequel occurred between December 2019 and January 2020, marking Ikumi’s final work before her unfortunate passing in March 2022.
