Upcoming Superhero Movies that you do not want to miss

There are a lot of superhero movies to look forward to this year and beyond. Marvel, DC, or any other comics, some great movies are coming your way. Many of your favorite superheroes and villains will be back on the big screen. 

DC Comics has already released The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson. After that, Marvel Studios released Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness, starring Benedict Cumberbatch. 

Here is the list of other superhero movies heading your way soon.

1) Thor: Love and Thunder

(July 8, 2022)

Chris Hemsworth is back to play the Asgardian god once again. Director Taika Waititi is also reprising the fan-favorite character, Korg. Tessa Thompson(Valkyrie from Ragnarok) is also back alongside Natalie Portman as Jane Foster. The Guardians of the Galaxy actors Chris Pratt, Vin Diesel, Pom Klementieff, and more will also appear in the film. 

2) DC League of Super-Pets 

(July 29, 2022)

Warner Bros currently has the DC League of Super-Pets set for a theatrical release on July 29, 2022. The star cast includes actor Dwayne Johnson (as Krypto the Superdog), Kevin Hart (Batman’s dog Ace), the Bat-Hound and Vanessa Bayer (Wonder Woman’s pig PB). Keanu Reeves is voicing Batman, and Marc Maron is voicing Lex Luthor. 

3) Black Adam 

(October 21, 2022)

Black Adam is one of the most awaited movies, and the reason is none other than Dwayne Johnson. The movie revolves around the Black Adam (Dwayne Johnson), who is now free from his earthly tomb after 5000 years and is ready to unleash his unique form of justice on the modern world.

 4) Black Panther: Wakanda Forever 

 (November 11, 2022)

After fan-favorite Chadwick Boseman passed away of colon cancer at age 43 in August 2020, Disney announced that they will not hire a new character to fill the role. Disney also announced that the new movie would focus on other characters within the world of Wakanda.

There are some other actors also who can be seen reprising their roles from the first Black Panther movie.

5) Shazam: Fury of the Gods

( December 16, 2022)

There is not much information available about Shazam: Fury of the Gods. When cast members appeared at DC FanDome in August 2020, they revealed nothing other than the title. Since all the family members of Shazam have special abilities now, we will see them in action, hopefully. 

6) Kraven the Hunter 

(January 13, 2023)

The iconic villain of Spider-Man from the comics, Kraven the Hunter, will soon be heading to the big screen. Sony and Marvel will probably release this movie to theaters in the first month of 2023. Kraven is the only cast member with a confirmed role. Aaron Taylor-Johnson will be the iconic Kraven the hunter. 

7) Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania 

(February 17, 2023)

As per the casting announcements, one can say that Ant-Man and co. will face off against Kang the Conqueror in this movie. Paul Rudd will reprise his role as Ant-Man with Evangeline Lilly as Wasp.  Michelle Pfieffer and Michael Douglas are also all set to return as Janet van Dyne and Hank Pym. Marvel Studios also announced that Jonathan Majors would play Kang the Conqueror. 

8) Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom 

 (March 17, 2023)

WB has yet to confirm the plot details of the movie. Although Abdul-Mateen reprising his role gives some indication. Director James Wan and star Jason Momoa gave some loose hints about the story. Black Manta will still try to exact vengeance upon Aquaman.

Jason Momoa will reprise his role as Aquaman in the movie. Amber Heard as Mera and Patrick Wilson as Arthur’s half-brother Orm Marius will also reprise their roles. 

9) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 

(May 5, 2023)

The Production for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 began on November 8, 2021. James Gunn mentioned in an interview that Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 would be his last movie in the Guardian series.

The newest and most significant addition to the movie cast is Will Poulter, who will play Adam Warlock. This role will transform him into one of Marvel’s most powerful characters. 

10) Spider-Man: Across The Spider-Verse – Part One 

(June 2, 2023)

The plot of this movie is still up for debate, but there are some clues on the internet. Miles Morales (voiced by Shameik Moore) will be going on an adventure to other realities as per the clues. The actual footage seen in the teaser backs this theory up. Hailee Steinfeld returns as Gwen, and Oscar Isaac will double down on his cameo appearance in Into the Spider-Verse as Spider-Man 2099. 

Almost every Marvel movie comes on the Disney+ platform sooner or later. So if by any chance, you miss watching any of the Marvel movies from the given list, you can still watch it on Disney+.
