Violet Evergarden Season one released in 2018 and was a huge success all over the world. The first season had 13 episodes and was adapted by Kyoto animation. It ran from January 2028 to April 2018. The anime series is adapted from a series of Japanese light novels of the same name, written by Kana Akatsuki, illustrated by Akiko Takase and produced by Shinichi Nakamura, Kazusa Umeda, Shinichiro Hatta, and Shigeru Saito. The light novel series has 4 volumes till now. The last volume that released in 2018 was more of a side story and the light novel series have finished.

The franchise also released two movies – Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll in 2019 and Violet Evergarden: the movie in 2020. The movies performed pretty well on the big screens as well.

The story of Violet Evergarden season one from start to end

The story revolves around a young female ex-soldier who is left behind to find a purpose in her life after the long war. She manages to get a job at a writing agency where her main assignment is to create letters that can bring people closer.

Violet was a part of a four-year-long war that ended after so many conflicts. Violet was trained to be a deadly weapon on the battlefield from a very young age. Young Violet was trapped in this bloodshed as she was hospitalised and amputated in a bloody assault during the end of the war and. She was left with nothing but a few words from the person closest to her. However, she did not understand the meaning of those words.

After recovering from the Battle, Violet begins a new chapter in her life by starting working at CH Postal Services. Fortunately, there she watches the work of An Auto Memory Doll, amanuenses that jot down people’s opinions and sentiments into words on a paper.  

Touched by the concept, Violet also starts working as an Auto Memory Doll and write letters to bring people closer. But what she didn’t know is that this industry will take her on a new adventure that will rehabilitate the lives of her clients and lead her on the path of self-discovery.

Violet Evergarden characters that might return in Violet Evergarden season 2

If Violet Evergarden Season 2 happens, then Yui Ishikawa will be surely returning to voice the protagonist of the show. Besides her, the major Violet Evergarden characters that might return to voice their characters will be Daisuke Namikawa as Major Gilbert, Minor Chihara as Erica, Kyle McCarley as Claudia. 

Even though the producers have not dropped any official hints including a trailer, poster or release date, we still are positive that Violet Evergarden Season 2 will come out soon. Without a second season, we will never find out about the rest of the journey of Violet Evergarden and where will the future take her.
