Ellie (The Last of Us)

For Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, Ellie is the heart and soul of the game, ensuring that it is not just another ordinary zombie game. Why is Geralt a great hero? Well, it’s simply because he is actually not a hero after all. While other heroes struggle to fight against their adversaries or shine with their bravery, Geralt is something far more different. In the real world, he is just a simple guy who is constantly surrounded by bad people with bad attitudes. However, he feels that there is no need for him to indulge in these things. Although he is basically a decent person, he is not perfect and he does not intend to be. 

So, when you play the character of Geralt, everything can be dramatic and relatable. From being a local nuisance, which can be easily dealt with a simple punch, to being a monster hunter, which is filled with human criticisms. One of the greatest traits of Geralt is his unpretentious humanity, despite the fact that his mother abandoned him. That is why every time you share a story with him, it does not only feel normal but it’s more exciting too. 

Nathan Drake (Uncharted series)

You can’t stop yourself from loving Nathan Drake. One of the reasons why his fans love him is that he has greatly developed throughout the series. The leading character in the Uncharted series is the equivalent of Han Solo. Although he is a scoundrel, he has a heart of gold. Despite having his devil-may-care attitude, he still managed to save the day. While his expertise in ancient civilization and his talent for treasure-seeking are greatly inspired by Indiana Jones. With his great strength, he is always ready to face just about anything. 

Nathan Drake is quite likable and anyone who is struggling with a bad day can greatly relate to his character. His romantic relationship with Elena is probably one of the most real ones in AAA gaming. Nate has an honorable reputation and so as the people who followed him. He has a lifelong relationship with Victor ‘Sully’ Sullivan, which is just so adorable. Nathan is the kind of hero who has killed so many goons and yet he has little remorse. All it takes is just a simple, “Oh crap!” to help us forget about those horrible murders.
