Konosuba Season 3 gets a release window!
Anime comes in various forms, and of them, Isekai is one of the most beloved genres.
Each year numerous isekais are released, and Winter 2016 was no different as the anime adaption of Natsume Akatsuki s’ light novel series, Konosuba, hit the small screens.
The story follows a shy, loner boy named Kazumo Sato who lives in a rural area in Japan and spends most of his time watching anime or playing video games.
One day he decides to leave his home to buy a coveted video game, and after buying his precious game, he rushes home to play it for days.
However, on his way, Kazumo realizes that a girl is about to get hit by a truck and pushes her out of the way, but after saving the girl, he falls into the truck’s path, dying like a hero.
Arriving in limbo or the place after death, he meets the goddess Aqua who is a beautiful young girl with an easy going and happy personality.
She is also the deity in charge of deciding the fate of people after they die. Aqua offers Kazumo the opportunity to start his life in a new RPG-style world in Belzberg.
There Kazumo will have the mission to defeat the demon king and bring world peace.
Within this scenario, Aqua also offers him to have a magical ability or a weapon of choice that allows Kazuma to face the world easily.
But to the goddess’s surprise, Kazuma accepts and decides to take her along as his companion on his journey.
After arriving in the new world, Kazuma and Aqua form a party in which they recruit two new members, i.e., an explosion-obsessed magician named Megumin and a masochistic crusader named Darkness.
Unfortunately, the task of defeating the Demon King proves to be challenging as Kazuma s’ new life is different than he imagined.
Can Kazuma and his adventure party with peculiar personalities overcome the Demon King is the central plot of the show.
Konosuba has been one of the most popular isekai series in recent times, and after the conclusion of season two, fans were wondering if there would be a third installment or not.

WHAT IS THE KONOSUBA SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE?
Konosuba Season One aired from 13th January 2016 to 15th March 2016 for 10 episodes. The series was renewed for a second season which ran from 12th January 2017 to 16th March 2017 for 10 episodes.
An anime adaption of the spin-off series Konosuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World aired from 6th April 2023 to 22nd June 2023 for 12 episodes.
After the finale of the spin-off series, the anime s’ official Twitter account announced the renewal of Konosuba Season 3.
The announcement also featured a new key visual for the third season, and Konosuba Season 3 release date was confirmed as 2024.

KONOSUBA LIGHT NOVEL AND MANGA CATCHUP
Konosuba light novel is written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Kurone Mishima.
Serialized initially as a web novel on Shōsetsuka ni Narō between December 2012 and October 2013, KonoSuba was published as a printed light novel series by Kadokawa Shoten under the company’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko imprint from October 2013 to May 2020.
The light novel has been published in 17 volumes, with the latest issue set to release on 7th July 2023.
As of November 2021, the Konosuba light novel has sold over 10 million copies.

Konosuba manga is written by Natsume Akatsuki and illustrated by Masahito Watari and Joseph Yokobori.

KONOSUBA SEASON 3 PLOT
In the finale of Konosuba season two, “An Explosion on This Wonderful World!”, Not meaning to hand Chomusuke over, Megumin thinks of an arrangement to utilize a stuffed cat toy to bait Host into a snare so she can utilize her enchantment on him.
During the evening, Yunyun slips into Megumin’s room and takes the cat toy. Accepting Megumin is still sleeping, Yunyun concedes that she’s developed to regard Megumin and her decision to learn to blast magic but realizes that Megumin’s arrangement won’t work.
She hosts selected a gathering to assist with battling Host, and she projects a rest spell on Megumin to keep her from meddling.
Megumin awakens the following day and pursues Yunyun, getting a gift from Cecily on the way.
In the interim, Host kills a large portion of Yunyun’s party, yet she can project a deaden spell on Host however coincidentally incapacitates herself too. Megumin then shows up and projects her blast on Host, annihilating him.

The village is home to powerful wizards, mysterious secrets, world-ending weapons, and a plethora of definitely-not-fake tourist destinations.
But Kazuma’s adventures are never this straightforward, and he has his hands full just surviving his Arch-wizard’s kin, much less saving them.

KONOSUBA CAST, CHARACTERS, AND CREW
Konosuba season one and two were produced by studio Deen however, Konosuba season 3 will be produced by studio Drive.
Previous anime director Takaomi Kanasaki will serve as the chief director for the third season at Drive. Yujiro Abe is directing the series while Makoto Uezu is again in charge of series composition, and Koichi Kikuta is returning as character designer.
