Anime offers many fantasy magical worlds, and Mashle certainly has its own uniqueness and charm.
Based on Hajime Kōmoto s’ manga series, Mashle: Magic and Muscles is set in a world where people s’ position in society is determined by their magical power and skill.
Individuals who practice magic have a distinctive mark on their faces, and those who cant wield magic are exterminated from society.
The story follows a young man named Mash Burnedead who resides in the forest hiding from society due to his inability to use magic.
However, despite the magical impairment, Mass has developed incredible superstrength acquired through intense training.
Mash s’ peaceful life is disturbed when caught by the authorities causing many to notice that he is Unmarked.
Due to his unfamiliarity with people, Mash insults the police officers who threaten to arrest him.
Mash defeats the officers, and he slaps away their magical spells using his ridiculous strength.
One of the police officers offers Mash to enter a magical academy and compete to become a “Divine Visionary,” which would force everyone to accept him.
Mash accepts the invitation however, when he enters the gates of the academy, he soon learns that it only consists of the elite and magically gifted students.
Can Mash overcome his magical shortcomings and surpass other students to be accepted by society eventually is the central plot of the show.
Mashle Season One was a massive success, and after its conclusion, fans were wondering if there will be a second season or not.

WHAT IS THE MASHLE SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?
Mashle Season One aired from 8th April 2023 to 1st July 2023 for 12 episodes.
After the airing of season one, the anime s’ official Twitter account announced the renewal of Mashle Season 2.
In addition to the sequel announcement, Mashle Season 2 trailer was revealed, and Mashle Season 2 release date was confirmed as January 2024.

Considering the popularity of the first season, the renewal announcement comes hardly as a surprise, as Mashle was one of the top-rated action fantasy anime of Spring 2023.

MASHLE: MAGIC AND MUSCLES MANGA CATCHUP
Mashle: Magic and Muscles manga is written and illustrated by Hajime Komoto. It began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from 27th January 2020 to 3rd July 2023.
The manga has been collected into 17 volumes comprising 150 chapters, with the latest issue released on 4th July 2023.
In 2020, the manga was nominated for the sixth Next Manga Awards and placed eleventh out of the 50 nominees with 12,894 votes.
The series ranked third on the “Nationwide Bookstore Employees’ Recommended Comics of 2021” by the Honya Club website.
Mashle was nominated for the 67th Shogakukan Manga Award in the shōnen category in 2021.
Financially, In June 2020, it was reported that the first volume of the series performed well enough to be sold out.
By April 2021, the manga had over 1.4 million copies in circulation, and over 2.1 million copies in circulation by August of the same year.
It amassed over 3 million copies by March 2022 and over 4 million copies in circulation by November of the same year.
As of April 2023, Mashle manga has sold over 5 million copies for volumes 1-16.

MASHLE SEASON 2 PLOT
In the finale of Mashle Season One, “Mash Burndead and the Magic Mirror,” the Innocent Zero mage arrives to kill Abel.
Mash covers himself in cream, which surprises everybody as the mage is annoyed seeing him in such a state.
Abyss survives Abel s’ assault as the mage just misses with his Carbon magic due to Mash s’ accurate aim at his wand.
Abel is confused as to why Abyss would save him, to which Mash points out how he accepted him.
Abel recalls his mother s’ words on the importance of empathy which distracts the mage, allowing Mash to punch him but is protected by his skin.
Fed up with Mash s’ physical strength, the mage uses Spell Flection Mirror, but Mash smashes it into pieces, and at this moment, it’s revealed that Mashle is magicless.
The mage teleports away before revealing that he is Cell War. Abel takes Abyss to the infirmary.
Mash’s friends decide to keep his secret until they remember Abel’s 100 freed dolls are human again and hear everything, meaning Mash’s secret is exposed. Cell reports to his father he has finally located Mash.
Mashle Season One is covered till Chapter 37 of the manga, which means Mashle Season 2 will begin by adapting Chapter 38.
After the conclusion of the battle with the Magia Lupus, Mash finds out to have no magic by the school and is put on trial to receive his judgment.
Mash and friends enter the Divine Visionary Selection Exam, but only one can come out on top. Mash’s fate rides on him becoming a Divine Visionary, but can he pull it off?
