This means the production house has more than enough content for renewing the anime series, as a total of nine books are left to be adapted. But given the pace of season one, the production house won’t be able to make UQ holder season 2 with the leftover source material

The UQ holder season 1 got a rating of 6.99 on MAL. Though its rating was good, its reviews were average because of its fast pace and poor adaptation. The finale episode of season one didn’t even follow the story from the manga. Judging by how season one ended, it didn’t leave the possibility of a sequel. Therefore, it’s safe to say that the makers have more than one reason not to continue the UQ holder anime series.
