Noragami Season 3: When Will Be Noragami Season 3 Release? All Update Till Season 3 & Cast

Noragami being an awesome supernatural shounen anime series with humour elemets in it does not have any sequel so far. Will there ever be an announcement for Noragami Season 3?

We will never discover without a third season if Yato will get millions of worshipers to his grandson’s sanctuary. And Hiyori and Yukine we’re not going to see again. The best way to discover that the manga can be read without a sequence, but most people won’t really. Studio Bones made a great job of adapting, but everyone hopes for season 3 in Noragami.

The thing is that Noragami Season 3 hasn’t been verified because official notification has never been made and we don’t know what the odds are that a green light will be shed another season in Noragami.

Possibility for Noragami Season 3 Release Date Announcement

Lets begin with the information in three quick parts and analyse if we can expect Noragami season 3 announcement in 2021.

Part 1: Noragami Season 3 Source Material Information

Any of the new series are adaptations only from known sources such as manga, computer games, graphic novels and light novels. For Noragami, the manga is the source material, so it is important to determine its status. We have to check how many manga volumes have been published so far, and if the manga continues in 2021. If the plot is over or nearer to a close, it might be why it would be difficult to authorise another season for Noragami.

Noragami Volumes Availability

Noragami is officially published in Japan in 23 manga volumes. Two manga stories are also available. The first follows God Yato and his meeting with Noragami: Stray God. Noragami is considered the second spin-off manga: Stray Stories, but it’s only a volume, and it’s still in place.

Is the Noragami Manga still in production?

The Noragami manga is currently in progress. The author Adachitoka’s most recent book, 23, was published on February 17, 2021. In 2017, the author published one novel, and in 2018, he wrote one. In 2019, there were two additional volumes, but in 2020, there was only one.

Which manga volumes does the anime of Noragami cover?

Volumes 1-3 is adapted for the first season of Noragami, which premiered in 2014. Volumes four through nine were covered in the second season. As a result, manga volume 10 will resume following the anime. As a result, we have 13 books that can be found in Noragami season 3.

That’s a more than 60% decline in quality between seasons for the Blu-ray, but I said it before about One Punch Man Season 3, and I’ll tell it again about Noragami. Blu-ray sales are no longer essential since famous shows will be streamed in 2021.

Noragami Manga sales

I have seen Noragami’s 22 manga sales, and it has sold over fifty thousand copies. In the first week even the new manga volume 23 did not rate. Less than 45,000 copies were most likely sold within the first week.

Using 300,000 copies for Volume 12, Noragami sold even more but the manga is selling each year less and less. Accel World is seeing a similar decline and no announcement has been made so far for Accel World Season 2.

Noragami Merchandise

For Noragami, four figures are available, all of them for various characters. These are Bishamon, Kofuku, and Iki Hiyori. Noragami is also supplied with 450 items. The numbers of merchandise will be sufficient, but 80 percent from the first season is the issue. Noragami Aragoto has only been about 20% in the second season. The second season of Noragami did not do as well as the first. Between seasons, there was a decline of more than 50%. Even the manga is doing less as well as it once was. I might imagine such a steep drop if there was a long gap between seasons, but it was just a year.

In September 2019 the official Noragami website was last updated with news about Noragami and Noragami Aragoto. In February 2021, 109,000 fans tweetened about the 10th anniversary of the franchise on official Twitter.

The exciting thing, Google says, is that the second season was more successful globally than the first. The poor news in Japan is that the first year was just about 70%. Even worst, Noragami is now searching for just 3% of the high in Japan. Typically for famous series it’s around 15-20 percent.

With nearly 1,612,000 participants, Noragami has ranking number 19 in popularity. Noragami’s second season is 64th of over 1,070,000 fans. Any anime which can reach MAL’s top 100 is very popular.

Manga

Were you aware that there are two female mangaka writers in Noragami Adachitoka? And knew that a writer had any problems with health? This is presumably why the release rate of manga has recently been sluggish.

Merchandise

Until 2016, Noragami had a stable news release rate. From 2017, it had just a few new items such as telephone events, and virtually no news was published or revealed in 2018, 2019 and 2020. I checked this in 2021 and, unfortunately, no new merchant has been announced.

POPULARITY CONCLUSION

From the point of view of popularity, it is nowhere else with a sales decline of more than 50%. No new merchandise and manga slow release tempo helps popularity.

Is Noragami Season 3 going to happen?

In the next one to two years, there is a slim possibility that Noragami Season 3 release date will be announced. The studio that produced the first two seasons is already booked for the coming year. For 2021, Studio Bones is planning on Season 5 of My Hero Academia as well as a couple other designs. The pace at which manga is released is still not what it used to be. In 2019, two new Noragami manga volumes were released, but in 2020, only one new volume was released.

There was also the 10th anniversary of the Noragami series, but no new additions to the series were revealed. In 1-2 years, we’ll have a much better idea if Noragami Season 3 will happen.
