Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2: Renewed or Cancelled + Release Date Predictions [2023]
Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2, will it ever happen?
Every year, there are a few animes that, despite closing into a decade-old premier, are in demand for renewal.
One such series is the anime adaption of Riku Misora s’ light novel, Chivalry of a Failed Knight, which debuted in 2015.
The premise is set in an alternate Earth wherein humans have supernatural abilities called Blazers, which can be used as weapons through a person s’ soul.
Blazers are picked as representatives for the Seven Star Sword Art Festival, in which the strongest Apprentice Knight is determined.
The story follows the sole failed F-rated Blazer named Ikki Kurogane, who shares a room with the top A-rated Blazed, Stella Vermillion.
Unprecedently, Ikki discovers Stella half-dressed and is challenged by her to a duel where the loser will become an obedient slave to the winner forever.
During the mock battle, he demonstrates powerful fighting skills and memorizes Stella’s technique, which he uses against her through his technique Blade Steal.
As a last resort, Stella activates her Noble Art, but Ikki counters it with his own Noble Art, out-maneuvers her attacks, and strikes her, winning the duel.
Returning to the apartment, he reminds her of the deal they made, for the loser to obey the winner from now on, and then orders her to be his roommate.
Can the unlikely Blazer pair fight other strong opponents as they dream of reaching knighthood is the central plot of the show.
Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season One was well received by fans and critics; however, eight years on since its premiere, the series will return for a sequel.

SEASON | RELASE DATE |
Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 1 | 3rd October 2015 |
Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2 | Yet to be Announced |
Production Studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.
Financially, almost 3000 discs of Blu-ray/DVD were sold, which for 2015 isn’t bad however in 2023 due to online streaming, disc sales aren’t a big factor for renewals.
As mentioned earlier, Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season was a relative success and garnered a sizeable fanbase.
Chivalry of a Failed Knight keeps the viewers intrigued and interested throughout its run, which is reflective of its IMDB user episode rating.

While the reviews and ratings are mostly in favor, a crucial factor for renewal will be the availability of studio and source material.
Silver Link is known to produce multiple series; however, it’s been eight years, and no announcement has been made.
Silver Link s’ production schedule for 2023 looks occupied with seven new projects already announced, while 2024 will begin with the premiere of Mission: Yozakura Family.
Meanwhile, studio Nexus is a minor production house that works on only one anime per year policy.
Thus, it appears that both the studios have moved on to much financially lucrative ventures, which could spell bad news for the prospects of Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2.
However, the good news is that there is sufficient source material available, and with the light novel ending with Volume 19, creators could be motivated to return for repromoting the light novel.
Thus, it’s highly unlikely that Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2 will be happening, but with anime and light novels popularity, there could still be a faint chance.
Fingers crossed that the studio announces some updates on Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2 Trailer and Chivalry of a Failed Knight Season 2 release date before 2025.
