Awakening in a forest far from civilization, Hiraku selects the largest tree as the site for his farm and, with the Tool, is able to construct a well, build a camp and dig his first field.
To his amazement, the Tool causes crops to begin sprouting without planting seeds first, and eventually, Hiraku begins harvesting his first crop.
Although Hiraku looks content with his new life, he feels alone and decides to develop the area into a thriving society.
Can Hiraku finally live a peaceful farmer s’ life in this farming fantasy world as he digs, chops, and plows is the central plot of the show.
Farming Life in Another World has received positive reviews from critics as the feel-good story of Hiraku is a happy relaxing experience.

Farming Life in Another World light novel is written by Kinosuke Naito and illustrated by Yasumo. It was published online via the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō on 29th December 2016.
The series was later acquired by Enterbrain, who began publishing the novels with illustrations by Yasumo on 30th October 2017.

Farming Life in Another World anime is directed by Ryōichi Kuraya with a series composition by Touko Machida. Music is composed by Johannes Nilsson and Yasuharu Takanashi.
