Friends Characters & The Office Characters Who Should Have Dated
The Friends Characters formed various amazing relationships and the Office characters too in their respective TV shows, but here are some characters who could’ve dated across TV shows.
A popular American Sitcom released in the year 1994, Friends, was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman. The series includes six friends who meet each other in New York City and stay together through the ups and downs of their lives.
Characters in Friends include Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), Monica Geller (Courteney Cox), Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow), Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) and Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc).
Another popular American comedy series is The Office; it is more of a mockumentary sitcom which was created by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant. The series was aired on NBC in the year 2005 included nine seasons completed by the year 2013. The series depicts the everyday working of office employees in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
Both the hilarious series included various compatible relationships, which gave the audience a layer of heartwarming humour and emotion in the series. Both the series’ characters are given different personalities, and that makes them compatible with their partners in the shows. Just a thought, how would it be if Friends characters and The Office characters had met each other?
8. Phoebe And Dwight
Phoebe Buffay is a weird character in Friends who is a self-taught musician and a masseuse and has a quirky personality. Dwight is a salesman and an assistant to the regional manager, who is played by Rainn Wilson. Both of them has confident personality and live the way they like, even if no one understands them.
Phoebe can be a great match for Dwight, as she is open to the way others are and live. Dwight does have interesting conspiracy theories, which probably Phoebe would dig, as it attracted Angela in The Office series. Phoebe is a strong woman who might get attracted by Dwight’s traits.
7. Janice And Andy
Janice is always remembered for her laugh and is an obnoxious character who is always tied to Chandler as his ex-girlfriend. Andy is another salesman from a different branch of Dunder Mifflin, and he is a talkative character in the series.
Both Janice and Any are loud characters and have amazing energy inside. Both the characters are the type that is difficult to handle, discovered by their respective partners in their respective series. But it would be interesting if they both dated, as Andy won’t be scared by Janice’s bold nature, and Janice won’t be put off by Andy’s over-excitement. In fact, they might complete each other’s zest for life.
6. Chandler And Pam
Chandler Bing, popularly known as the sarcasm king, is an executive in statistical analysis and data configuration, the job which no one can remember. And Pam can’t be remembered without Jim. Pam was a receptionist in the starting but eventually became a saleswoman and then office administrator in the final series.
If, hypothetically, Chandler and Pam would’ve met, Pam might like Chandler because of his humorous nature, as she liked Jim’s pranks in The Office. Chandler was always seeking a reaction for his jokes, and Pam and he could be a great match.
5. Rachel And Jim
A fashion enthusiast, Rachel Green, leaves her previous life and come to live with Monica to start a new one. She became independent with her hard work and had a great interest in work focused on fashion. Jim Halpert is a sales representative and tries to make others, particularly Pam, laugh with his hilarious yet not harmful pranks.
Jim and Rachel have one common trait that they both are focused on their careers. If they were a couple, they would be able to share their ambitions and support each other along their journey. In both of the series, Rachel and Jim have proven themselves loyal to their partners, and their relationship would not be one-sided.
4. Monica And Michael
Monica Geller, the glue to the group, is a chef who always likes to be a perfectionist, bossy and competitive. On the other hand, Michael Scott is one of the most crucial characters in the show, who was shown as a Regional Manager of the Scranton branch.
If Monica and Michael had dated, Monica would’ve been an amazing partner, as she puts up with Chandler. She did everything and was everything someone like Chandler could’ve asked for. Michael is a supportive person and would’ve to bode well with Monica’s career ambitions.
3. Joey And Karen
Joey Tribbiani, a ladies man, is a struggling actor in New York City but did get a big break and stars infamous soap operas ‘Days of Our Lives. Karen Filippelli was shown a sales representative who is an ambitious employee.
Both of their struggles, but neither of them take anything too seriously, which can make them a great match. Joey and Karen enjoy their lives to the fullest, and one bonus is that they both enjoy video games. It is an absolute match as Joey loves food, and Karen is really particular about the chips from the vending machine.
2. Ross And Holly
Ross Geller, brother of Monica Geller, is a palaeontologist who works at the Museum of Natural History. Holly Flax was an HR representative who quickly developed a romantic relationship with Michael Scott.
Holly does love geeks, and Ross is a geek as he loves talking about the dinosaurs. Holly is shown as a family-oriented character who wants to take care of her parents, and Ross, besides his flaws, focuses on the family too. There is no doubt that Ross and Holly would be nerdy together and perfect for each other.
1. Gunther And Erin
Gunther is a character who works at Central Perk, where the whole gang hangs out; he serves coffee and falls deeply in love with Rachel Green. Erin is a bubbly and naïve character in the series, who was hired as a replacement at the reception after Pam.
It does sound odd pairing Gunther and Erin together, but they might be able to bring the best in each other. Gunther is a quiet individual who keeps everything to himself, and Erin is a lively and feisty woman. If both of them were to be dated, they might bring balance to each other.
