A Japanese anime series, Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation, is based on light novels, which are written by Rifujin na Magonote and illustrated by Shirotaka. The production which helped in the process of making Mushoku Tensei is Egg Firm.
\The first half-season of this fantastic anime was released on Japanese Television from January to March 2021, and the second half was broadcasted from October to December 2021. The direction of this animation adaption of light novels is done by Manabu Okamoto at the Studio Bind.
The isekai fantasy anime series focused on the story of the leading character, Rudeus Greyart. An unnamed man, who is a 34-year-old virgin, was thrown out of his own house on the day of his parent’s funeral. Afterward got run over by a truck which killed him.
The tragic accident led to a twist in his life, as when he woke up, he saw himself present in another world as a baby with two loving parents. The baby boy who was born was named Rudeus Greyart.
The 34-year-old man who was born as a baby because of an accident, Rudeus Greyart, now swore to succeed in this new life given to him.
The 23 episodes released in season 1 covered the events of Rudeus Greyart struggling to succeed in the new life. Along with 23 episodes, one OVA episode was released too in March 2022. Well, now the fans are thinking about when the Mushoku Tensei anime season 2 will be released?
Mushoku Tensei Season 2: Source Material
The popular anime Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation is based on light novels with the same name. Till now, 25 volumes of Mushoku Tensei light novels have been published in Japan. One might wonder, are the light novels finished? But that’s not the case, as they are still continuing in 2022, as the last one was published in September 2021.
The light novel series have the same name, Mushoku Tensei, originally is a web novel written by Rifujin no Magonote. Rifujin has mentioned in many interviews that his inspiration, which is from the developments of other top web novels, for example, Re: Zero, is the main reason why Mushoku has its own school arc.
Along with the Mushoku Tensei light novels, there is also Mushoku Tensei Manga. The manga series has released 16 novels to date.
Which Volumes Will Mushoku Tensei Season 2 Cover?
The Japanese anime series, Mushoku Tensei, released its first season in two parts, where the first one included light novel volumes from 1 to 3. And the second half of season 1 covered the volumes from 4 to 6. Season 1 ended with Rudeus and Eris parting with each other.
The Mushoku Tensei Season 2 will probably start from volume 7 and end with volume 12. The second season should probably begin after a time skip where Rudeus is in adolescence. When will Mushoku Tensei Anime Season 2 Release Date?
Studio Bind has confirmed that Mushoku Tensei will renew for a Second Season. Mushoku Tensei Season 2 will have two cours, and the likely release date of the first one could be in early 2023, and the second one could be in mid to late 2023.
When a new season is confirmed, on average, it takes about 12 to 18 months for the whole process to be done and then released, which is why the prediction of the second half of Mushoku Tensei Season 2 release date would probably be in mid to late in 2023.
