He is embarrassed by the sudden turn of events, but things become apparent when he looks into the mirror and finds himself turned into a dog.
As the story goes, Inukai took the protagonist to her room and requested a handshake from him. After the handshake, she gave him a name – Pochita.
Baffled by the predicament, the protagonist now named Pochita must adapt to life as a god as he discovers a whole new side of Inukai which he never saw in school.
Season One of “My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog” didn’t receive great reviews, but there are still fans who are hoping for a second season.

My Life as Inukai-san’s Dog Season One was broadcasted from January 7th, 2023 to March 25th, 2023, with a total of 12 episodes.

My Life as Inukai san’s Dog was already shrouded in controversy before its release due its positive interpretation of zoophilia i.e., attraction to animals.
Furukawa Gosei, the creator of the manga said on the anime’s official website, “It’s mainly a piece from the dog’s perspective. I think you will enjoy the feeling of being held by a girl. The heroine’s thoughts and feelings are not described from a first-person point of view. I can’t wait to see how the movements and voices make me feel!”
Unfortunately, the anime did no such thing as Furukawa hoped and in turn received backlash from the fandom, who even demanded the show to be cancelled.
Quite rightly its good to be an animal lover but getting sexually attracted to your pet is pushing the boundaries of erotic comedy.The series was rated R+ as within the fist episode, we see Inukai taking bath with Pochita.
Studio Quad is relatively a new production house, having produced only three titles with no renewals.
Currently, the studio has listed one new project (Bokura no Ameiro Protocol) for fall 2023 release with key visual already revealed.
However, all roads lead back to the feedback of season one which indicate that fans do not want My Life as Inukai san’s Dog Season 2.
The only good news is that there is sufficient source material available to produce a sequel especially since the manga is still ongoing.
All in All, for the minority of fans who hope for a sequel, don’t hold your breath as its highly unlikely the studio will renew for My Life as Inukai san’s Dog Season 2.

It’s worth noting that “Inu ni Nattara Suki na Hito ni Hirowareta” manga has been compiled into 9 volumes so far, with the latest issue being released on July 14th, 2023.

MY LIFE AS INUKAI SAN’S DOG SEASON 2 PLOT
In the final episode of My Life as Inukai san’s Dog Season One “First Kiss”, Sakihara tells Pochita if he puts on a ball gag, she will reveal how to become a human.
The ball gag deciphers his discourse. She says he will be human in the future on the off chance that he ingests a portion of Inukai’s body liquids, as through a kiss or oral sex. She then plays film of his distorted tricks and inquires as to whether he truly needs to surrender this life to turn into a borring human,
