Production Studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.

If we talk about the financial aspect of this anime, you will get to see the merchandise of the Popuko or Pipimi as a virtual spectator. The figurines sold one million units in late May 2018. Blu-ray discs are another revenue medium for the creators available for both seasons.

While the reviews, ratings and profits are mostly in favor, a crucial factor for renewal will be the availability of studio and source material.

Studio Space Neko Company and Kamikaze Douga produced the second season but haven’t listed any new projects for 2023.

But, both studios are relatively small and don’t have the production capacity to work on multiple projects in a year.

However, the creators took four years to produce a sequel, and considering the limited dates of both studios, Pop Team Epic Season 3 could follow suit.

Additionally, there is also a possibility that the series ends with season two as creators look for much more lucrative projects.

Source material should not be of massive concern as there is enough for creators to produce Pop Team Epic Season 3.

All in All, the prospect of Pop Team Epic Season 3 happening are at even odds, and it’s completely up to the studio s’ discretion.

If the series does get renewed for a third season, we can expect updates on Pop Team Epic Season 3 trailer and Pop Team Epic Season 3 release date by Winter 2026.
