The portrayal of romantic comedies in animes with a school setting, featuring students as the primary characters, is a well-known and common trope.

One such series featuring this trope was privy to the Spring 2023 slate as the anime adaption of Yuji Nakamura s’ manga series, Rokudo’s Bad Girls hit the small screens.
The story follows Tosuke Rokudou, a first-year student at a school called Amori High which is mostly attended by delinquents and aspires to live a peaceful life.
However, it’s not as easy as Rokudou thinks, as his classmates constantly bully him due to his incompatibility behavior.
Rokudou s’ life changes when he receives a parcel from his late grandfather that contains their family heirloom scroll.
The scroll is said to be passed down from generation from the Heian period and possesses powers that can save Rokudou from impending danger.
Rokudou was endowed with a special pentagram mark on his forehead upon receiving a scroll from his grandfather. His ancestors used this spell for the purpose of exorcising Oni. However, in the modern era, the spell has a different effect. It causes any female with negative tendencies to develop an immediate attraction towards him upon making eye contact.
The protagonist’s educational experience undergoes a significant transformation when he finds himself immersed in the delinquent subculture of his school. Alongside this, he comes across a group of female individuals, each with unique issues to address.
Can Rokudou achieve his dream of living peacefully despite inheriting the power of attracting delinquent school girls is the central plot of the show.
The first season of Rokudo’s Bad Girls received a mixed response from viewers. However, fans of the romantic-comedy genre are curious to know if there will be a second season.

WHAT IS THE ROKUDO’S BAD GIRLS SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?
Rokudo’s Bad Girls Season One aired from 8th April 2023 to 24th June 2023 for 12 episodes.

As mentioned earlier, Rokudo’s Bad Girls Season One wasn’t a massive success and failed to break into the top-rated anime list of the Spring 2023 slate.
The major criticism seems to be labeled at the animation quality, especially how the eyes are done, which are depicted as if the characters are wearing eyeliners.
Currently, studio Satelight has three new projects scheduled for 2023 and beyond thus ruling out the chance of Rokudo’s Bad girls Season 2 happening any time soon.
It is worth noting that there is an ample amount of source material available to develop a sequel, despite the first season having a satisfactory conclusion for Rokudou, Ranna, and the rest of the characters.
However, the ending of season one did tease more bad girls in the future for Rokudou, which might push studio Satelight to renew for a second season.
The only stumbling block would be the lack of sequels produced by Satelight, as, for one reason or another, the studio doesn’t seem to be keen on renewals.

ROKUDOU NO ONNA-TACHI MANGA CATCHUP
The manga series “Rokudou no Onna-tachi” is both written and illustrated by Yūji Nakamura. Its serialization commenced on June 23, 2016, in Akita Shoten’s Weekly Shōnen Champion magazine and ran until April 8, 2021, marking an end to the series.
The manga has been compiled into a total of 26 volumes, with the most recent issue being released on June 8th, 2021.
According to the MyAnimeList platform, the Rokudou no Onna-tachi manga has received a rating of 7.2 out of 10. Additionally, it is ranked at #5299 and has garnered a readership of 15,000 members.
ROKUDO’S BAD GIRLS SEASON 2 PLOT
In the final episode of Rokudo’s Bad Girls Season One, “Our Dream School Lives Have Begun,” Ranna apologizes to Rokudou for not being able to feel the protective feeling for others she has for him.
She also requests to let her be beside him, which surprises everyone and makes them wonder where did the politeness come from.
Despite losing, Doji tells Rokudou to protect, and in return, he will ensure their happiness.
Raino and Kazeno are having normal school life, while the whereabouts of Yashiya are unknown.
Doji and others are trying to rebuild the Onishima Alliance as the school festival restarts.
During the festival, Ranna calls out everyone s’ names and thanks them as the episode ends with Rokudou knowing that he will meet more bad girls, but he will pull through.
Rokudo’s Bad Girls Season One covered the first 73 chapters of the manga, which means Rokudo’s Bad Girls Season 2 will begin by adapting Chapter 74.
To relieve some stress, Rokudou decides to take the group and Ranna to the arcade.
It’s Ranna s’ first time at the arcade, and she plays the drums while cheering for Rokudou.
After wandering about trying to find the perfect game for Ranna, Rokudou asks her to try the boxing arcade game.
He explains how it works, and the top scorer is a person named CBX with a score of 380, and it’s revealed that CBX is none other than Inuma’s.
In her first attempt, Ranna smashes Inuma’s score as she gets 999,999 on the machine.
Later, Ranna requests Rokudou to come to the Purikura to click pictures which he obliges as it makes her happy.

Rokudo’s Bad Girls are directed by Keiya Saito with a series composition by Yuichiro Momose.
The characters in question have been expertly crafted by Shinya Segawa, while the composition of the music is credited to Takatsugu Wakabayashi.
