SK8 The Infinity, produced by Bones Studio, is a skateboarding sports anime set in Okinawa, where skateboarders take part in highly skilled and secret boarding competitions called S. The races take place in an abandoned mine which often results in heated rivalries and beef.
The plot follows sophomore student Reiki, a hardcore skater who befriends Langa, a transfer student from Canada, and introduces him to the world of S racing. With his snowboarding experience, Langa picks up skateboarding fast and teams up with Reiki to take on the best skaters from the city. The battles, adventure, and skateboarding form the central theme of SK8 The Infinity.
SK8 The infinity Season one ran from 10th January 2021 to 4th April 2021 with 12 episodes.

SK8 THE INFINITY Season 2 Release Date
So, to answer the question, when is season 2 of SK8 the infinity coming out? Bones Studios has announced on 4th July 2021 in a tweet that a new project has been announced for Sk8 the Infinity.
Great news awaits enthusiasts of ‘SK8 The Infinity.’ The anime is preparing to make a triumphant return! An exciting new undertaking centered around ‘SK8 The Infinity’ is already in progress. The inaugural season of ‘SK8 The Infinity’ pleasantly surprised anime aficionados, captivating them with its breathtaking visuals, engaging storyline, and exhilarating skateboarding sequences
The enthusiastic audience response significantly hinted at the possibility of a subsequent season. Ultimately, on July 4, 2021, No Border animation studio and Studio Bones jointly unveiled their collaboration on a fresh ‘SK8’ endeavor. Subsequently, in August 2022, it was revealed that the ongoing venture they were collaborating on is none other than ‘SK8 The Infinity’ Season 2.
The first season sold more than 9000 copies in volume one and ranked fourth overall in the list of top ten most sold anime. This is impressive considering SK8 the infinity does not have any source material and is an original production.
Currently, there is no official release date provided, but our estimation suggests that the show might potentially premiere as soon as the autumn of 2023 or early 2024.

Sk8 The Infinity Manga + Spin Offs Update
The studio itself produces the anime, and there is no source for adaptation, and this is quite impressive as the studio production animes are few and far between in recent times. Nevertheless, there is SK8, the infinity manga illustrated by Kazuto Kojima, which started releasing on 5th March 2021.
So far, seven chapters have been released, but on 15th October 2021, post Chapter 7, the manga was stopped due to unexplained circumstances unaccredited to the illustrator.
Bones Studio also released a light-hearted spin-off manga called SK8: Chill Out on 11th January 2021 on Kadowkawa s’ Young Ace Up. There have been two cours released, each having 12 chapters. This manga follows the friendships between the skaters and the races between them.
The anime also received a stage play titled SK8: The Stage. The first part was first performed on 2nd December till 12th December 2021. The second part was planned to be completed from 15th January 2022 to 24th January 2022 at Nippon Seinen Kan Hall. It was stopped due to the COVID-19 cases among the staff members. There is no update on a rescheduled date.

SK8 THE INFINITY Season 2 PLOT
The final episode of SK8 The infinity Season 1,” Our Infinity! Saw the beef between Adam and Langa on a dangerous track. Adam loses to Langa, and Reki makes him realize how fun skateboarding is. The finale concludes with the celebration of Langa s’ victory while Adam turns in his accomplice and is pardoned for the information. The show’s last moments have Reki and Langa going one on one as promised before in the S.
SK8 The Infinity Season 2 will be set in Tokyo, where Langa will race in S Downhill Skating Competitions. The capital city will have different challenges as the opponents here will be on a different level than the ones in Okinawa.
Koyomi Kyan, the eldest sister of Reki Kyan, will also begin her skateboarding journey. As a result, snowboarding could be a prime feature in SK8 The Infinity Season 2.
It’s expected that SK8 The Infinity Season 2 will also have 12 episodes.
