The plot follows an herbalist named Shirayuki from the Tanbarun kingdom, who is easily identified by her red hair.
Due to her hair color, she is always cautious and has been raised to tie her hair with a red ribbon in new surroundings.
She works as an apothecary at her herbal shop and consequently has grown up as an independent young woman.
Shirayuki s’ life changes when she is noticed by the Prince Raj of Tanbarun, who immediately tries to force her to become his concubine.
Unwilling to submit to the prince s’ demands, she cuts her long hair and escapes into the forest, where she is rescued by Prince Zen Wistaria and his two aides, Mitsuhide and Kiki.
Mistakenly, Zen eats a poisoned apple meant for Shirayuki, who obtains an antidote to save him. She decides to join the royal court as a herbalist, where she befriends a young herbalist, Ryu.
Raj starts falling in love with Shirayuki and professes to become a better ruler of the country.
Can Zen and Shirayuki achieve their respective goals while acknowledging their feelings for each other is the central plot of the show?

WHAT IS THE SNOW WHITE WITH THE RED HAIR SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE?
Snow White With the Red Hair Season One aired from 6th July 2015 to 21st September 2015 for 12 episodes.
The series was renewed for a second season which ran from 11th January 2016 to 28th March 2016 for 12 episodes.
As of writing, there is no update from studio Bones on the renewal of Snow White With the Red Hair Season 3.

Production studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.
Financially, the DVD/Blu-ray sales were not good as the series only manage to sell 700 in the first week.

However, the second season albeit scoring 7.9/10 on MAL, wasn’t enough to break into the top-rated animes of Winter 2016.
It must be noted that the first two seasons were released in a single block which also includes two OVAs.
The creators clearly wanted the viewers to engage with the characters within 24 episodes rather than the standard 12 or 13 episodes run.
Thus, it’s pretty evident that Snow White With the Red Hair was created to become a source material seller and thus received quick renewal after season one.
Although the reviews and ratings are favourable, a crucial factor will be the availability of studio and source material.
Studio Bones is one of the biggest production houses and have produced series like My Hero Academia, Sk8 Infinity, Mob Psycho III, Case Study of Vanitas, and Bungou Stray Dogs.

SNOW WHITE WITH THE RED HAIR SEASON 3 PLOT
In the finale of Snow White With the Red Hair Season 2, “A Tale, My Path,” Sakaki and Mihaya are shipped off to Clarins to contribute to Shirayuki with the authority title of “Friend of the Crown” of Tanbarun, adhering to Raji’s directions.
Ruler Izana should, in this way, recognize her title. However, some information about her aims toward Harmony leaves her dumbfounded.
While Shirayuki thinks about her future, Sakaki attempts to persuade her to spend it next to Raji, which she graciously declines.
Shirayuki gets up promptly the next day, and having tracked down her determination, she requests that Obi help her track down Zen.
Zen comes running, bothered, and brimming with questions as Shirayuki inquires as to whether it is acceptable for her to wish to be close to a ruler’s side.
Zen kisses her and carries her to the rooftop nursery of the palace.
Having not answered her question, he tells her that he has already made his feelings towards her clear to Prince Izana and asks Shirayuki to wait for the moment when he will be able to give her an answer.
Later they all see Sakaki and Mihaya off, and normal life resumes at the castle.
Snow White With the Red Hair Season 2 ended on chapter 31 from Volume 8 of the manga, which means Snow White With the Red Hair Season 3 will begin by adapting Chapter 32 from Volume 8.
Obi meets with the mysterious, flirtatious woman from the inn, revealing that he knows her, and her comment about him being too dangerous was a coded message for him to meet with her.
She attacks him, but it quickly turns out to be a test Obi was expecting of her as they have not seen each other in three years, and she’s not going to ask for help from someone who lost touch.
Obi informs her he is lost his appetite for illegal jobs, and while she’s surprised, she explains her current gig is the perfectly legal task of tracking down a runaway.
As they arrive at the runaway’s expected hideout, Obi starts regretting coming, or at least regretting that he didn’t bring a horse, as he realizes he’s not going to be back by dawn and that Mitsuhide and Zen are going to be annoyed with him.
Akagami no Shirayuki-hime Season 3 characters and plotlines will see Zen pestering Obi for being acquainted with an obvious criminal like Torou and for leaving to meet said criminal without telling anyone where he was going.
Obi is actually chastised since Torou kissed Mitsuhide goodbye before taking off.
