Original Star Wars Editor Marcia Lucas Criticizes Disney-Era Movies

Marcia Lucas bravely criticizes Disney-era movies.

Many philosophers say that criticism is a thread to make relations in society deeper and more robust.

As children, it may be correct to say that we lacked the power of accurate and robust criticism. However, it is also suitable to say that we have emerged and discovered some experiences from which we can now easily observe things with a better view and judgment. Similarly, people related to media and television are entitled to criticize where it is essentially required.

This article is a brief of what Marcia Lucas has criticized Disney-era movies.

Original Star Wars

The Original Star Wars introduced the space battle genre to the cinema with the bold Star Wars: Episode IV – Padme vs. Anakin. It forced Marcia Lucas to criticize the episodes.

Following up on the success of Empire, the sequel to The Phantom Menace offered the next evolution in epic space warfare.

Like the previous installments, The Phantom Menace featured the return of the character of Darth Vader, and this time around, he was portrayed as a more sympathetic and complex character.

Naturally, fans were excited at the prospect of Darth Vader returning.

When Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith debuted on the worldwide scene, Darth Vader once again went terrible. The original Darth Vader was cold and emotionless. The late actor, Kersch, played this version of Vader.

While the character’s mask and robes had changed color (dark blue instead of the classic white), his features were the same. His voice also remained calm and emotionless throughout the movie.

Despite these improvements, Revenge of the Sith still failed to meet expectations.

Why is that? In an article for the Hollywood News Guide, posted online in May of 2021, Star Wars Editor Claudia Lucas and the star wars cast criticized the movie at length and noted the many flaws.

Although some disagree with her assessment, it can say that The Phantom Menace is not the best Star Wars film to date, nor is it even the most fantastic Star Wars black series movie of all time.

She gave it a somewhat low rating of “satisfactory,” citing some repetitive scenes (although she praised the special effects), poor character development, continuity errors, and other minor complaints.

What about Others?

However, others are not so quick to point out the film’s faults. According to Marcia Lucas himself, the reason why The Phantom Menace did not receive an award nomination for an Academy Award (for Best Picture) was that “the audience was not big enough.

Then, why did The Phantom Menace receive such a low score from most critics? Well, neither was The Phantom Menace.

It seems that some people were not satisfied with the movie, despite its high standards, which is why they are not happy with the results.

The concerns of Marcia Lucas were entirely logical and factual to the fact that phantom was more deserving than the star wars black series.

Of course, some are simply unhappy with everything about Star Wars.

After all, The Phantom Menace was a flop at the box office, and so it is no surprise that many people call it a complete failure and an excuse for Star Wars fans to watch old rather than new films.

Still, there is no denying that The Phantom Menace did not live up to expectations, and many fans are left with an unsettling feeling at the thought that perhaps the original Star Wars trilogy was not so successful after all.

As such, does The Phantom Menace represent a chance for Star Wars enthusiasts to feel nostalgic about the original trilogy or is it just another disappointment?

It depends on your opinion, but I am delighted with the results of The Phantom Menace, and I think it is an excellent opportunity for Star Wars fans to watch the original Star Wars black series all over again,

I also believe that we should be able to enjoy original films in HD, and as we have already seen with The Phantom Menace, that is what we will be able to do from now on.

If you are a fan of the original trilogy or even just a fan of classic science fiction movies, then this may be a perfect chance for you to see what you have always wanted.

Therefore, Marcia Lucas and I suggest you give The Phantom Menace a chance before dismissing it altogether.
