The Fruit of Evolution is another such isekai anime adapted by Studio feel and Studio Children’s Playground Entertainment of the light novel series by the same name written by Miku.
The story follows high school Hiiragi Seiichi who gets bullied due to his obesity, ugly looks, and improper hygiene.
During a typical school day, the intercom is hijacked by someone claiming himself as God and who orders all the students to team up before getting transported into another world.
The transportation is a success however, Hiiragi Seiichi is left behind since no one wants him on their team. Seeing his plight, the person claiming himself as God sends Seiichi into a deep forest isolated from his schoolmates and human civilization in general.
In this new world, Seiichi struggles to find food, and after five days of hunger, he accidentally eats the Fruit of Evolution, and his body begins to reshape into a slender, muscular appearance.
For the next five months, Seiichi begins exploring and learning about this new world as he becomes more attractive by consuming various fruits of Evolution.
Has Seiichi s’ boring life finally turned a corner in this new fantasy world is the central plot of the show.
The Fruit of Evolution was received with a mixed reception as some viewers enjoyed parody isekai while others criticized it for being another cliché series filled with the usual isekai tropes.

On 24th November 2022, the show s’ official Twitter account confirmed the production of season two and announced The Fruit of Evolution Season 2 release date as 13th January 2023.

The Fruit of Evolution light novel is written by Miku and illustrated by U35. It began serialization on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in 2014 and was later acquired by Futabasha in the same year.

THE FRUIT OF EVOLUTION SEASON 2 PLOT
In the final episode of The Fruit of Evolution Season 1, “Before I Knew It, It’s the Final Episode!?” a judgment spell is created and cast on the enemy s’ army, but the Tillburt remain unharmed.
After saving the city, Seiichi is offered a teaching position by Barnabus, which he will accept only when Louise returns to keep Ranze safe. Louise returns to Tillburt, and Seiichi departs to Barbador, vowing to return one day.
Kreis is furious that the monster army was defeated at Tillburt, which enrages the Demon Lord, who was looking to cause wrath using the negative emotions of the city s’ destruction and resurrect himself.
The episode ends with the Demon Lord promising to return and regain power one day.
The Fruit of Evolution Season one covered the first four volumes of the light novel, which means The Fruit of Evolution Season 2 will begin by adapting the fifth volume.
Seiichi is at the peak of his powers and feels as if he is even human after all. He also creates a smartphone capable of growing more fruit of Evolution in a safe place.
At the Barbador Magic Academy, Seiichi is training students to fight the Kaiser Empire, but unfortunately, he is assigned Class F, which is filled with troublesome students.
How will Seiichi, who was once bullied at school, teach a class of vexing students will be the comic plot point of the second season.
