The three main characters from the Witcher are Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill; Yennefer of Vengerberg, played by Anya Chalotra; and Princess Cirilla, also known as Ciri, played by Frey Allan. The show was created by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich, released on Netflix in 2019. The show took Andrzej Sapkowiski’s novels which had a different fan base.

In the Witcher Season 1, Yennefer is a young woman with deformities. Her spine was curved, and she had partial face paralysis and was living with her mother and stepfather. Her stepfather never treated her the way she deserved. In one attack, she unknowingly traveled to Aretuza, where she encountered a sorcerer, Istredd. She was then purchased and forcefully taken to Aretuza, where she tried to kill herself.
Due to Tissaia’s counseling, she survived the suffering and strengthened herself with training. During her journey in Aretuza, she discovered that she got a small part inside her elf, which answered why she was born with deformities. She trained herself and found out an enchanter who could make her beautiful. But in return, the price demanded was too big, the removal of reproductive organs, she won’t be able to bear a child, ever. That was the fully transformed Yennefer who won her place back in Aedirn.

And the second, Renfri told Geralt that “the girl in the woods” was his destiny, and then, Geralt didn’t understand anything.
Jaskier & Geralt
Jaskier, a famous role played by Joey Batey, instantly attracted everyone with his charm. Although Jaskier wasn’t a favorite person for Geralt, they both were destined to travel together. Their relationship, where Jaskier annoyed Geralt, was crucial for the Witcher Season 1. Despite being highly annoying, Jaskier popularized Geralt’s hard work and made a song on it, which goes by, ‘Toss A Coin To Your Witcher.’
The Law of Surprise
Geralt, with Jaskier, attended one betrothal party of Princess Pavetta. Interestingly, the party turned into a tense situation when Lord Urcheon of Erlenwald, Duny, entered the hall. Queen Calanthe was shocked after seeing’s Duny’s porcupine head and ordered to kill Duny. Geralt being the protagonist, defended him and Duny explained his purpose of arriving there. By the Law of Surprise, Duny asked for Pavetta’s hand and disclosed that they had been together for a year.

Once Jaskier and Geralt were traveling together, Jaskier found a djinn bottle. He released djinn and used two of the three wishes. However, Jaskier unknowingly got possessed by a djinn and asked for Geralt’s help. This event showed the path to Rinde, where he crossed paths with Yennefer. Yennefer helped Jaskier get free from djinn but tricked Geralt as she wished for more power. However, later she realized that djinn was too much for her to hold, and at that point in time, Geralt helped her by using one of his three available wishes. This event created a different connection between both of them.

The Battle of Sodden Hill
The attack of Cintra was just a small part, as the Nilfgaardian army was continuously attacking the remaining parts of Northern Kingdoms. Everyone came together to reinforce the Sodden Hill and stop the troops once in for all. The Battle was challenging, and many of the people died on both sides. At the end of season 1, after the Sodden Hill battle, Ciri fulfilled her destiny and meets Geralt in the forest and asks about Yennefer.
