Amidst the many dreamers is the show s main character Special Week who, after school, witnesses a young accomplished horse girl, Silence Suzuka, and immediately falls in love with her style.
Inspired by the racing performance of Silence Suzuka, Special Week gets recruited into her team named Spica.Now alongside her idol, Special Week can become the best horse racing girl in Japan and fulfill her mother s’ wish; this is the show’s central plot.
Uma Musume, albeit a sports anime, has many folds as it’s also a story of friendship and the struggles to leap past adversity no matter what.
The first and second season of Uma Musume was much loved and enjoyed by the fandom, who were beginning to wonder when will the third installment come out.

WHAT IS THE UMA MUSUME SEASON 3 RELEASE DATE?
Uma Musume season 1, titled Uma Musume Pretty Derby, aired from 2nd April 2018 to 11th June 2018 for 12 episodes. The series was renewed for a second season which aired from 5th January 2021 to 30th March 2021 for 13 episodes.
On 6th November 2022, during the Uma Musume 4th Event, a trailer for the new web anime titled Uma Musume: Pretty Derby- Road to the Top was revealed, which confirmed the release date as April 2023.

Furthermore, the announcement clearly states that Uma Musume: Pretty Derby- Road to the Top is “Different from the TV anime series” and should not be confused or considered Uma Musume Season 3.
Now, if you are wondering why the new project isn’t part of a third installment, it’s because Uma Musume: Pretty Derby- Road to the Top will be a web-streaming series rather than a regular broadcast TV show in Japan.
Additionally, for those fans who are disappointed about the lack of Uma Musume Season 3, there is no cause to fret yourself as creators have assured more seasons are on the way.
In an interview with Famitsu, executive producer Nobuhiro Takenaka was asked, “Whether you have plans for Uma Musume Season 3?”. Takenaka replied that they not only wanted to continue Uma Musume, but he’d like to keep making more anime as long as the game continues.
As of writing, there is no information on either a renewal for a third season which consequently means updates on Uma Musume Season 3 trailer and Uma Musume Season 3 release date are also scarce.
The web anime announcement came as no shock considering how well the anime series has done to bring in more users and boost the revenue of the game, which gained a 57.5% increase on the App store. Hence, we can expect Uma Musume Season 3 announcement pretty soon, considering how popular the game is in Japan.
