According to a recent article, there are some indications that it’s already in the works. The third season of The Witcher has been uploaded to the Writers Guild of America’s website, according to fan sites. Netflix has already greenlit the third season of Stranger Things before the second season has even premiered, according to the strongest clue yet.

It has subsequently been confirmed by people close to the show that the third season has already begun.

If you needed any more proof that the third season is in the works, the NetflixGeekd Twitter account posted a snapshot of what appears to be the (spoiler alert) final page of the season two screenplay in December, saying:

Where Is Yennefer In The Witcher Season 2?

“This page from the Witcher Season 2 screenplay demonstrates that the second season won’t hold back.” The screenplay indicates a significant cliffhanger, the type you’d only plan if you knew a second season was on the way.

The Witcher is based on the famous book series by Polish novelist Andrzej Sapkowski and was adapted for Netflix by Lauren Schmidt Hissrich. Geralt of Rivia, played by Henry Cavill, and Princess Ciri, played by Freya Allan, have been the main characters in the series.

The Witcher is Netflix’s most popular series of 2019 because of the success of its first season. Sapowski’s works cover the lives and relationships of a variety of individuals.

Writing has begun, according to Redanian Intelligence, and the series’ creators are eager to see more The Witcher drama in the future. We’re only waiting for Netflix’s approval.

Season 2 (spoiler alert) finishes on a massive cliffhanger, the type you’d only plot if you already knew another season was on the way. You might wonder how we know that.

This seems to be the last page of the Witcher Season 2 screenplay in December 2020, according to the NetflixGeekd Twitter account, which shared the image “As you can see, this page from the Witcher Season 2 script contains information about the upcoming season. Isn’t afraid to speak his mind.”

Season 2 will be available on Netflix on December 17th, and if a third season is in the works, we expect it to arrive around 2023. It’s all contingent on Cavill’s busy schedule.

Cavill will star in Argyle, which begins production in August. The Witcher crew will be busy filming The Witcher: Blood Origin, a spin-off prequel, between August and November/December.

Cavill is also reportedly scheduled to feature in The Rosie Project, which is set to begin filming in early 2022.

With all of this in mind, the earliest we may see Season 3 of The Witcher is 2023.

It’s far too early to speculate about new characters or who may be joining the cast for Season 3. A third season of The Witcher is anticipated to include Cavill, Chalotra, and Allen as the main characters.

Sapowski’s book series, which covers the experiences and relationships of a wide range of people, has a lot of content on the streaming site.

A former Bridgerton actress, Adjoa Andoh will play Nenneke, a character in Sapkowski’s works.

“Silent Witness” stars Liz Carr, Cassie Clare, and Graham McTavish will also be in the second series. Simon Callow from Four Weddings and a Funeral will also appear.

He portrayed Sir Phillip Crane in Bridgerton. Chris Fulton will play Rience.

This is a little more complex. Henry Cavill is crucial in this situation, and his timetable is the solution.

In August 2021, he begins work on Argyle, a film with a fantastic cast, and then moves on to Enola Holmes 2, a movie with a little lesser role that he may finish sooner. In 2021, The Witcher crew will be working on The Witcher: Blood Origin from August through November/December.

After that, we’re just left with a sentence from the Deadline announcement of The Rosie Project, another upcoming Henry Cavill film. It was reported by Deadline that the filming will commence in early 2022. The Rosie Project might be postponed until after Henry complete Season 3.

On our end, we’ve heard that they’re keen to have Season 3 up and running as quickly as possible, with as few delays as possible.

In any case, Season 3 of The Witcher is expected to begin production in Q1/Q2 2022, according to our estimations. At this pace, a release in 2023 is a foregone conclusion.

It appears that we’ll be getting new Witcher material for at least another few years! Season 2’s release, Nightmare of the Wolf, and Blood Origin’s shooting have us eagerly anticipating what lies next. Keep your eyes peeled!
