In the Witcher Series, with infinite adventures in the books and on Netlfix, the main character’s age seems difficult to figure out.
The Polish-American fictional series, The Witcher, was released on Netflix in the year 2019. Since then, the fans have been increasing day-by-day and wanting more. The foundation of the Witcher series is the witcher books written by a Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski, the creator of the dramatic adventures in medieval times.
Netflix’s Witcher series is an English translation of the Polish-written short stories or novels and also includes some of the help from the Witcher video games. The series includes various important characters who are living among beasts trying to fulfill their own dreams or ambitions. Witcher, every main character has a different and interesting story, and each one of them plays an important part in working all the things together.
One of the thought-provoking things in the series is its characters’ age. The book states differently than what has been told on Netflix, which contradicts a lot in the minds of fans. This results in fans going on a wild hunt for information and analyzing timelines, events, and whatever they can find off the internet to discover the ages of the beloved characters.
The inspiration, Witcher Books, and the series on Netflix don’t share a chronological timeline of the events. Whatever timeline was given, it still lacks a lot of information about Witcher’s every main character age. There is a high need for a chronological timeline which the Polish author, Andrzej Sapkowski, could write, and everything will be sorted then. In the meantime, fans are only guessing the best current best option to satisfy themselves.
10. Stregobor Age: An Illusionist & A Black Sun Believer, Closing on His Fifth Century
Netflix’s Witcher Series states that the character, Stregobor, was born in the year 786, which makes his age around 445 in season 1, during the hunt of Renfri in Blaviken, the year was 1231. The character Renfri, whom Stregobor was looking for, was a mutant born in the year 1213. Renfri died at the hands of Geralt when Stregobor wanted to kill her.
In the Witcher Season 1, Stregobor, a master illusionist, showed some of his great tricks to Geralt when Geralt entered his place. The believer of ‘Curse of the Black Sun,’ Stregobor has very small appearances, and every one of them is exciting and one of a kind.

When Istredd realized that Stegobor was using him for his own advantage, he left and went to Nazair to work on an evacuation site, as he had a keen interest in the subject of archeology.
In the Witcher Series, Istredd studies at Ban Ard, the male counterpart of Aretuza, when all the events of Stregobor using him and Yennefer getting hurt by his betrayal happen. The Witcher fans mention that Tissaia was a mentor to Philippa Eilhart, a sorcerer, almost always shown as an owl. Jaskier, the bard, stated that Philippa Eilhart is more than 300 years old, and Tissaia, being her mentor, makes her much older than everyone else.

A Nilfgaardian Sorcerer, Fringilla Vigo, who used the restricted magic of fire, was a student at Aretuza and learned magic from Tissaia at the same time as Yennefer, which makes both of them the same age. In the Witcher books, no information has been stated about Fringilla’s age.
Fringilla Vigo, a character based on Witcher books, followed more on Netflix than in books. Along with others, the audience gets to know about Frigilla’s journey and her personality development after her alliance with Francesca, the Elven leader.

In the year 1248, Jaskier meets Geralt and decides to tag along with him, at the point he is 18 years old. If we were to follow Netflix’s timeline, Jaskier would be around 40 years old in season 2 when he accidentally met Yennefer in the year 1262.

Geralt and Ciri, as destined, finally meet each other in the year 1264, around which Ciri would be 11-12 years old. In 1265, Geralt started the training of Ciri at his homeplace, Kaer Morhen, with the purpose of making her control her powers.
In the Witcher Series on Netflix, Ciri was born in the year 1250, which makes her a few years older than her age in the books, which states that she is still in her early teens and has an amazing journey ahead.
2. Yennefer of Vengerberg: Either Really Old or Pretty Young
The most powerful sorcerer on the continent, Yennefer of Vengerberg, trained by Tissaia De Veris, was born in the year 1173, one night between April 30th and May 1st. Yennefer graduated from Aretuza when she was only 13 years old, after learning magic for three years.
As a matter of fact, mages can halt their aging, and Yennefer’s age was only 75 when she met Geralt for the first time in the year 1248. At the end of Witcher Season 1, during the Battle of Sodden Hill, Yennefer was 90 years old.
1. Geralt of Rivia: From Kaer Morhen, Looks Great For A Man in 100s
One of the leading characters from the Witcher Series, the Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, is not actually from Rivia but from Kaer Morhen, another character without a birthdate in the books.
In an interview, Andrzej Sapkowski mentioned that the Witcher, Geralt, was 50 years old in the year 1267, in which the Baptism of Fire takes place. And Geralt meets Ciri around that year, in 1267, which makes Geralt roughly 50 years old.
However, in Netflix’s Witcher Series, Geralt was stated to be born in the year 1160, which makes him 80 years old around the time he meets Jaskier, in 1240. According to which, Geralt’s age is 88 when he meets Yennefer and 104 when he fulfills his destiny and meets with Ciri. According to both sources, Geralt is more than 50 years old.
