When we speak of shonen animes, the big 3, i.e., Naruto, One Piece, and Bleach, have remained consistently on top since their debuts. Most anime fans s’ entry points are through one of these three series and consequently have a nostalgic value attached to them.
While Naruto and One piece have been prevalent in both print and digital media, the same can’t be said for Bleach.
Bleach is one of the longest-running shonen animes but has been on hiatus since 2012 due to the fact that the author Tite Kubo was suffering from many health issues.
At the time, he wasn’t in the best condition to write his manga and wasn’t able to pump out chapters on a constant weekly basis. Hence, because of this slow pace of chapter releases, the anime started to catch up to the manga, and to prevent them from catching up fully, the anime had to go on a hiatus.
Fans of the series were disappointed after hearing this news and, for a decade, were devoid of any Bleach content.
Fast forward nearly ten years later, and the Bleach anime made its official return in just a few short months with the release of Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War.
It goes without saying the bleach fandom celebrates this announcement with much vigor and joy as their favorite series returns to the big screen.

WHAT IS THE BLEACH: THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?
Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War premiered on 11th October 2022, and currently, two episodes have finished airing.
As of writing, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War is yet to get an official renewal, and studio Pierrot is yet to confirm the title of the second season.
But fans don’t need to be too disappointed. On 30th September 2022, the STAR sub-section of Disney+ Canada listed the comeback series as “Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War: Season 1, which is a clear indication the series will be back for a second season.
Also, according to Oricon news, Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War will have four cours, i.e., the broadcasting schedule will have seasonal breaks in four parts.
Currently, the first cour is on air, and looking at the release schedule, and it’s expected Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War: Season 1 to run for 13 episodes till 2nd January 2022, following which the series will retire for a seasonal break.
Considering the seasonal breaks remain regular, we expect Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2 release date to be April 2023.
Although this can change if the first and second cour released back to back, each with 13 episodes followed by a long seasonal break.If that’s the case, we can expect Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2 release date to be in July 2023.

BLEACH: THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR MANGA CATCHUP
Bleach manga is written and illustrated by Tite Kubo, and it began serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump on 7th August 2001 to 22nd August 2016. The manga has been collected into 74 volumes and 698 chapters, with the latest issue on 4th November 2016.
The original run of the Bleach anime ended with its 366th episode titled “Changing History, Unchanging Heart,” which was released in March of 2012 and concluded the Lost agent Arc.
That episode adapted chapters 476 to 479, which is where the ark ended in the manga. Chapter 480 is the first chapter of the Thousand Year Blood War manga and consists of 206 chapters which are where the Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War anime adaptation will begin.

Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War season 2 will see Ichigo getting treated at the royal palace after getting beat by Vandenreich. To avenge the defeat, Ichigo will take up intense survival training,
Isshin takes on Black Hollow, but the odds go against him when a familiar face joins the battle. Ichigo s’ past, including her mother, is revealed, and how he is linked to the Quincies but will this affect him during his fight against the real Zanpakuto. Bleach: Thousand Year Blood War Season 2 characters and plot will progress towards the finale of the Bleach series.

BLEACH: THOUSAND YEAR BLOOD WAR ENGLISH DUB
The Thousand-Year Blood War Bleach anime dropped on the 10th of October; however, most fans could only enjoy the series with English subtitles.
A lot of the people who had grown up with the English dub of Bleach airing on either Adult Swim or through purchasing the DVDs were not able to follow the new series with the familiar voice casts.
Many people have been confused because they had assumed that the dub for the Thousand Year Blood War Arc would be released at the same time as the English subbed version, especially with the way that Viz had been marketing the release.
With two episodes already on air, fans are wondering when will the English dub released.
