Henry Cavill And Kim Bodnia – Netflix Interview
Henry Cavill Witcher and Kim Bodnia Vesemir are discussing their process and appreciation given to each other’s methods on the sets of the Witcher. With the last release of season 2, the fans are eager for the next season and couldn’t wait to explore the story more.
Netflix has recently released an interview with Henry Cavill and Kim Bodnia to give something to the fans. During the interview, they both seem very comfortable, as Henry asked for Scotch in the beginning. Kim Bodnia, coincidently, has been living the same life as his character Vesemir, 20 years in the forest and being alone.
Kim Bodnia said, “when I was done telling you about my antics travelling and how it is to be alone, you said, ‘You are Vesemir.” And the discussion on challenges with the emotional scene started between them. Kim adds, “I trained every day in a new way of crying, and that’s why I have to travel inside my life because you don’t know if there is more to cry about.”
Henry Cavill then responded, “I have this thing, yes, absolutely. Once I’ve used something, I’ve used it, and then I’ve dealt with it, I’ve emotionally processed it because I’ve been crying all day on set.” Along with that, Henry starts talking about a complex yet emotional relationship between the characters, Geralt and Vesemir, putting more expectations on Geralt to be more emotional.
Henry Cavill and Kim Bodnia disclosed that there are a few scenes focusing on the emotions of Geralt and Vesemir, which were shot but didn’t make it to the final cut. Kim Bodnia’s role in the witcher season 2 was so special because of the complexity of the character living as an isolated leader.
The oldest Witcher alive, Kom Bodnia Vesemir, is one of the extremely bleak characters, and things change when Ciri arrives. When Vesemir finds out that Ciri can open the hope for creating more Witchers, he loses everything and puts all of his efforts into creating more Witchers.
It was in the interesting interview where the two Witchers, Henry Cavill and Kim Bodnia, from the series, are having a discussion on their methods to approach challenges and their seriousness creating the roles they were given. The viewers wish for more detail in the relationship of Geralt and Vesemir, as these two became the highlights of season 2. With the under-process work on Witcher Season 3, a prequel is going to be released with the name The Witcher: Blood Origin.
