Love of Kill Season 2, when will it release?
During the winter 2022 anime season, a few big shows, such as Demon Slayer and Attack on Titan for action and My Dress up Darling for romance, dominated the discussion.
While browsing some of the more overlooked shows this season, one came across a show that promised to combine both as the anime adaption of Fe s’ manga series, Love of Kill, hit the screens.
The show’s basic premise is that there’s a woman Chateau Dankworth who’s a bounty hunter, and a man Song Ryang-ha who’s an assassin.
Their lives intersect on a certain job wherein Song begins following and brokering her information in exchange for a date.
But soon enough, they realize their arrangement may need to end as the past begins their lives and consequently puts them at risk.
Love of Kill Season one was received with a mixed reception as some fans enjoyed the bounty hunter-assassin dynamic while others could not be invested in the characters at all.
Either way, Love of Kill had its takers who are wondering if a second installment is on the cards or not?

WHAT IS THE LOVE OF KILL SEASON 2 RELEASE DATE?
Love of Kill Season one aired from 13th January 2022 to 31st March 2022 for 12 episodes.
As of writing, there is no update from the creators on the renewal of Love of Kill Season 2.

Production studios consider various financial and consumer metrics before announcing a renewal.
Love of Kill season one was a relative success compared to another winter 2022 release in its genre. According to Anime Trending, Love of Kill was ranked #9 in the Top 10 Anime of the Week in March 2022.
Despite the slow burn in the opening three episodes, fans seemed to enjoy the latter of the first season, as evidenced by IMDB s’ user episode rating.

Studio Platinum Vision isn’t one of the big production houses, and they notoriously have followed one anime per year release schedule since 2016 without any sequels.
Additionally, Studio Platinum Vision s’ next project, I’m in Love with the Villainess anime, is already scheduled for the 2023 release, and consequently, it looks unlikely Love of Kill Season 2 will be happening in 2023 or go forth with a renewal.
The only positive point going in favor of a renewal is that the second half of Chateau Noble’s story needs to be animated in order for the anime experience to be fulfilling.
Nevertheless the studio does decide to renew Love of Kill for season two, then we can expect the Love of Kill Season 2 trailer and Love of Kill Season 2 release date in 2024.
LOVE OF KILL MANGA CATCHUP
Love of Kill manga is written and illustrated by Fe, who first published the story on Pixiv in October 2012, crossing over 5.4 million views on the website.
The author spoke in an interview with Comic Natalie spoke about how she published the first volume while working another job.
The manga has been collected into 12 volumes, with the latest issue released on 26th March 2022, while the final issue, i.e., Volume 13, is scheduled to come out on 26th January 2023.

LOVE OF KILL SEASON 2 PLOT
In the finale of Love of Kill Season one, “My Name,” Donny meets with the head of the Noble family, and Nikka takes Jim hostage while Euripedes manages to keep Chateau’s mother safe.
Chateau attempts to hire Son to assassinate Donny, but he tells her she will have to work with him as an equal, which she happily accepts, but is confused when he refuses money and tells her to work out what he wants as payment.
Love of Kill Season one is covered till Volume 8:Chapter 42 of the manga, which means Love of Kill Season 2 will continue from where the first season left off.
Ryang-Ha and Chateau have gone underground as the latter wants to restart their relationship.
They are contacted by Nikka, who threatens Chateau s’ partner Jim with a convoluted history between the pair.
Nikka professes to be in the same situation as them, but Ryang remains dubious of his claims but considers any intel provided by him.

Love of Kill anime is directed by Hideaki Oba and scripted by Ayumu Hisao. Characters are designed by Yoko Sato, and the music is composed by Keo Yoshikawa.
Animation is developed by the studio Platinum Vision with Toshimitsu Kobayashi as the chief animation director.

Considering Studio Platinum Vision s’ lack of resources to produce multiple projects, the renewal chances of Love of Kill Season 2 look highly improbable.
