Matthew Perry Starred in a Sci-Fi Film, But His Scene Got Cut Off
Matthew Perry, popular from Friends as Chandler Bing, recently disclosed that his shot in the sci-fi movie “Don’t Look Up” has been cut off.
Don’t Look Up, a recently released sci-fi adventure that was directed by Adam McKay, includes various cameos of several actors. One of them is Matthew Perry, who became famous for the classic American Sitcom’ Friends’. In the popular sitcom, Matthew Perry played the role of Chandler Bing, who was the king of sarcasm.
In the Don’t Look Up movie, Oscar-winning Leonardo Di Caprio and Jennifer Lawrence are leading the movie. This premier showcases a fictional yet mocking take on media, celebrity, and politicization. It focused on two astronomers, Leonardo Di Caprio and Jennifer Lawrence, who found out that the whole world was going to end within a few months, as they observed one comet had set its path to hit the Earth.

Friends‘ Matthew Perry revealed on a Twitter post in the last of October 2021 that his shot in the sci-fi movie ‘Don’t Look Up’ was cut off because of the negative reviews.
Matthew Perry posted, “I’ve just been cast in a film starring Meryl Streep! I’ll be on the treadmill for the next six weeks if you need me. “Don’t bother looking. I just saw Meryl Streep in a movie! I’ll be on the treadmill for the next six weeks if you need me.”
People Magazine stated that Matthew Perry shared the screen with Jonah Hill, who played the role of President Orlean’s Chief Staff (Streep), a Kid Rock impersonator.
However, Matthew Perry’s scene in the movie was disappointing, and many fans gave negative reviews about it. No one shared an explanation for the cancellation of Matthew Perry’s scene, neither Perry himself nor Netflix.
Considering Matthew Perry’s role in the Don’t Look Up movie, where he must be wearing a suit and speaking on the stage at the rally, he would have played as the political ally of Meryl Streep as President of Orleans.
In the movie, no one played the role of Vice President of Orleans, and it can be possible that Matthew Perry was playing this role which was deleted for the final cut. However, no official information has been revealed by Matthew Perry’s role.
