Next Witcher Spin-off Feauring Lambert, Coen & Eskel: Rumoured
Since the news of Nightmare of the Wolf, a witcher spinoff anime film, a lot of rumours are heard about the next one featuring Lambert, Coen and Eskel Witchers.
The leading franchise, Witcher, is becoming popular as a lot of spinoffs are on their way. Witcher, the concept created by Andrzej Sapkowski, who wrote all the fictional adventures of a Witcher, monster-hunter, Geralt of Rivia, in Polish Novels. The English version was created by Lauren S. Hissrich and released on Netflix to the whole world.
Two seasons of the Witcher series have been released, which are based on the novels and the witcher video games. These two seasons made the audience fall in love with all the characters, and the fans are excited for the upcoming season 3.
The Witcher franchise has given the news of releasing an anime film, the first spinoff on Netflix, to keep the excitement of the fans fueled. The animated spinoff will be released in 2D and will focus on the origin of Vesemir Witcher, a mentor and father figure to Geralt. This spinoff will help the audience get in touch with one of the most important characters in the world of Witchers, Vesemir (played by Kim Bodnia).
Along with that, over the past few months, gossip has been heard from three different places about the actors who played the characters of Lambert and Coen in the Witcher Series got together for a recording of something. In that recording, Paul Bullion (Lambert) and Yasen Atour (Coen) decided to speak about all the rumours being heard.
Possibility of New Live-Action Spinoff After Witcher Season 3
A few months back, a rumour was heard about the potential of a Live-Action Spinoff shoot which would probably happen after the release of Witcher Season 3 this year. Netflix is considering a new concept for the fans, but apart from that, no information has been heard about it. No one is aware of the content the live-action prequel will include.
For the fans patiently awaiting the Witcher Season 3, it is planned to be wrapped up by September 2022 and will probably release in October or November 2022.
A Potential Prequel Featuring Lambert, Coen & Eskel Witchers
Around the internet, the gossip about the next spinoff of the Witcher Series is reported, which would include the three characters from the Witcher Series, Lambert, Coen and Eskel. All the three Witchers went to the School of the Wolf with Geralt of Rivia and were trained by Vesemir. Lambert was shown as a Witcher who doesn’t like outsiders very much, as in the Witcher Season 2, he treats Ciri very badly. However, Coen wasn’t like that and helped Ciri through her training.
Eskel Witcher was one of the dearest friends and like a brother to Geralt. In the Witcher Season 2, he was shown bit by a Leshy, due to which he did some damage in their hometown, Kaer Morhen.
As Eskel died in Witcher Season 2, the potential spinoff would probably cover the events before Season 2. Moreover, in the Season 2 of The Witcher: Unlocked panel, Lauren S. Hissrich, the showrunner, joked about the potential spinoff, including Lambert & Coen.
The Next Animation Film is in Pre-Production.
Over a week ago, a piece of news was heard that there would be another animation film of Witcher, which has been in pre-production since March 2022, by Studio Mir. However, the 2D anime film, The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, received a lot of positive reviews and was praised by the audience for its new art style. This kind of editing requires a lot of time, so the next anime shouldn’t be expected anytime soon.
What Should We Make of All This?
There’s a lot of confusion because the potential spinoff featuring Lambert, Coen and Eskel hasn’t been officially announced yet. No one can say for sure about the adventure it would include or if it is live-action. Will the Lambert and Coen featuring spinoff would be anime or live-action? Will it include Eskel Witcher? Is Studio Mir working on an anime the same? Unfortunately, there are so many things we don’t know.
