When Will The First Official Look Be Released For Deadpool 3?
Following the recent rescheduling of the MCU lineup, Deadpool 3 has been moved up in the release slate and is now slated for a May 2024 premiere. This places it in the prestigious May release slot traditionally reserved for flagship MCU films like the Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy.

The Changes In Deadpool’s Costume Are Not That Much Compared To Other MCU Heroes
The photographs reveal that Reynolds is donning a suit that resembles the costume he wore in the two Deadpool movies produced by Fox. However, there are some minor variations. In Deadpool’s MCU suit, there is a black area beneath his neck and fewer straps than in the original suit.
Nevertheless, these alterations are relatively insignificant, and the character retains his iconic appearance from the Fox universe as he transitions into the MCU for Deadpool 3.
The reason behind Deadpool entering the MCU with a nearly identical costume to his previous films lies in contrast with other MCU heroes. Typically, MCU heroes, such as Captain America and Spider-Man, did not initially sport their most recognizable suits, and they gradually earned their comic book-accurate costumes over time within the MCU.
This trend has extended to Marvel’s Disney+ series, where both new and established characters receive their comic book-accurate suits during the season finales of these series.
Reynolds’ portrayal of Deadpool does not need to conform to the trend seen in the MCU, where heroes often undergo design changes and acquire different suits throughout their appearances. This is because Deadpool’s most renowned and recognizable costume is his red and black attire in the first two Deadpool movies. In contrast, Thunderbolts initially planned to be released before Deadpool 3, faced less fortunate timing for its production.
Due to the WGA strike preventing Thunderbolts from starting filming, its chances of meeting the original release date of July 26, 2024, have been significantly diminished, rescheduling to December 20, 2024.
