Photos: The Witcher will introduce the Wild Hunt in Season 2

There’s a big buzz going through right now that the crew of web series The Witcher are shooting today at Saunton Beach in Devon, UK. After verification, we can conclude that this is accurate. According to what we’ve read, the team has something special planned for the final days of shooting. Fans seem to be super excited and eager to know what special is going to happen in the Wild Hunt session of this web series.

The Wild Hunt presentation teases new set images from the Witcher season 2. In 2019, Netflix adapted the iconic book series and franchise for video games into a live series. Henry Cavill, like Geralt of Rivia, leads the realm of monster hunting, and The Witcher has become a huge hit in terms of downloads.

In addition to some spinoffs, a new season is in the making, and audiences are excited to see what the source material for The Witcher season 2 has to bring.

The story of this season is intended to revolve around Geralt’s friendship with Ciri, who is the princess of Cintra, and is bound to Geralt by the Law of Surprise.

Wild Hunt: A New Add-On

In the second season signals are coming to Kaer Morhen. Characters like Eskel (Basil Eidenbenz) and Lambert will be given a demonstration in Paul Bullion- The Witcher’s famed venue. It seems like Season 2 of The Witcher is going to take another main factor with the Wild Hunt debut.

The Wild Hunt’s presence is seen by a new series of pictures from season 2. Five blinded men and their blinded horses on the beach are seen in the photographs. Many who know the root material of The Witcher would instinctively question if these riders are the Wild Hunt.

Red Riders – The Witcher

The Witcher, Wild Chase, plays a leading role in Wraith of Mörhogg, also known as “Red Riders.” Initially they were thought of as wraiths riding zombie horses as a sign of fighting. The Aen Elle elves, on the other hand, are led by Eredin Bréacc Glas on a journey to hire slaves from other worlds to serve the elves. Geralt once took part in the group and its appearance in Season 2 of The Witcher brings more light to the past of Geralt and Ciri.

Ciri is the key character of the Wild Hunt in The Witcher lore. Because of her Elder Blood skills, they are drawn to her, prompting Geralt and Yennefer to try to defend her. Ciri may already be a victim of the Wild Hunt, with The Witcher season 2 likely to explore more of her abilities. This might show the way for a slew of new stories for Ciri, the Wild Hunt, Geralt, and others in the series. Of note, it’s possible that the Wild Hunt will play a minor part in season 2 of The Witcher, paving the way for them to play a larger role in the franchise’s future.

Wild Hunt Introduced by Andrzej Sapkowski

The riders were presented in the Time of Contempt series by Andrzej Sapkowski, who continued with Ciri on the road to Hirundum until they were fought by Yennefer and Geralt. They are described as wraith-like entities flying in the clouds. TThey are driven by Eredin and sweep over several realms, including the Continent, grabbing Aen Seidhe elves as Aen Elle servants.

They’re also influential in CD Projekt Red’s highly acclaimed Witcher video game series, with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt being the third instalment. It set together Geralt, Yennefer, the Lodge of Sorceresses, Avallac’h, and Ciri to potentially destroy the Wild Hunt, concluding the video game sequence.

Official Outline For Season 2

Season 2 of Netflix’s The Witcher will incorporate the incidents of Blood of Elves and Time of Contempt, along with one story collection from Sword of Destiny. Ciri was photographed studying at the witcher fortress of Kaer Morhen, according to official photos. Furthermore, showrunner Hissrich hinted that the series will look further into Geralt and Ciri’s parental relationship than the novels did.

Following statement officially outlines the Witcher Season 2:

Convinced Yennefer’s life was lost at the Battle of Sodden, Geralt of Rivia brings Princess Cirilla to the safest place he knows, his childhood home of Kaer Morhen. While the Continent’s kings, elves, humans and demons strive for supremacy outside its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses inside.

The series stars Henry Cavill , Anya Chalotra, Wilson Radjou-Pujalte, Freya Allan, Jodhi May inacting, Björn Hlynur Haraldsson, Adam Levy, Mimi Ndiweni, Therica Wilson-Read, Emma Appleton, Eamon Farren,  MyAnna Buring, Lars Mikkelsen, Royce Pierreson, JoeyBatey, Maciej Musial playing and Anna Shaffer.

Given that the Witcher season 2 would adapt the first novel Blood of Elves and the Wild Hunt would be first introduced in its Time of Contempt sequel, it can be presumed that the authors may have other ambitions in the midst of the daunting plot. We are definitely going to enjoy the upcoming thrillers of this season!

The Wild Hunt are directly listed by name 8 times in Time of Contempt. Also, when Season 1 adapted the bulk of books 1 and 2, I kinda thought Season 2 will adapt books 3 and 4. Good article with great insight
