Pokemon Concierge Stop-motion Announced by Netflix + New DLC Pokemon Revealed
Pokemon Concierge is coming on Netflix soon!
Each year Pokemon Day is celebrated on the 27th of February, and fans all over the world hope for some exciting news from one of the most successful media franchises.
Whether it’s the games or anime, Pokemon s’ popularity is massive, and with such a large fanbase, there is always an expectation of wanting more.
So, when this year’s Pokemon Day rolled on, Pokemon fans had their sight set on new development for the games and anime series.

POKEMON CONCIERGE TV SERIES COMING TO NETFLIX
During the Pokemon Present event, it was announced that Netflix and the Pokemon Company have teamed up together to bring a new tv series titled as Pokemon Concierge.
The stop-motion series tells the story of Haru, a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, and her interactions with Pokémon and their owners who visit as guests.
Pokemon Concierge stop-motion animated characters will most likely be taken from the manga, anime, and game that will expand the Pokemon universe.
Following the announcement, a short Pokemon Concierge stop-motion animated trailer was revealed, wherein we see a Psyduck walking along the shore of a blissful sandy beach.
A narration in the trailer’s backdrop states, “This is the Pokémon Resort. Pokémon are the guests here. Here is the story of the resort’s concierge,”.
The official poster for the show revealed Haru, a young, red-headed girl in a floral, Hawaiian-style shirt (covered with grass-type Oddishes), with her Psyduck.
Minyoung Kim, Vice President of Netflix Content in Asia, shared his thoughts on the new stop-motion series as he said, “Netflix is looking forward to delighting fans in Japan and around the world with ‘Pokémon Concierge,’ an entirely new visual and storytelling experience featuring ground-breaking stop-motion animation set in the Pokémon world in close collaboration with The Pokémon Company,.”
“Pokémon Concierge” is produced by Dwarf Studios, which has made Netflix’s family-friendly animated series “My Dad the Bounty Hunter,” “Trash Truck,” and Disney+’s “Monsters at Work.”
Pokemon Concierge release date is yet to be revealed by Netflix, but in the meantime, you can watch the Pokemon Concierge stop-motion animated trailer below:
POKÉMON SCARLET AND VIOLET GET TWO NEW DLC
In addition to the announcement of Pokemon Concierge, the Pokemon Company also revealed the two new DLC for the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games.
The Teal Mask is the first expansion in the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which will come out in the Fall of 2023.
The player will be chosen to take part in a school trip that is held each year in collaboration with another school. They’ll be taken to the land of Kitakami, where a great mountain towers over the land and the people living at its base.It is a place of tranquil natural expanses featuring rice paddies and apple orchards.
The trip seems to coincide with a festival regularly held in the village of Kitakami during this season, so the village is bustling with various street vendors and stalls.
Players will meet new friends and Pokémon as they unravel the mysteries behind the folktales that have been passed down in this land.
Teal Mask will feature three new Pokemon, Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti, known together as The Heroes of Kitakami. The mascot for Teal Mask is the legendary Pokemon, Ogerpon.
The Indigo Disk is the second expansion in the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC for Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, which is scheduled for release in winter 2023.
The player will be traveling to Blueberry Academy, a sister school of their own academy, as exchange students. While this tale is split into two parts, they link together to tell a connected story.The mascot for Indigo Disk is the legendary Pokemon, Terapagos.
NEW VERSION EXCLUSIVES FOR THE TERA RAID BATTLE EVENT
Tera Raid events have been a success in the past, allowing fans to catch rare Pokemon with unique Tera-types.
Pokemon Scarlet & Violet will also have its own limited Tera Raid events featuring two new versions of exclusive Pokemon.
Walking Wake is a dual-type Water/Dragon Paradox Pokemon that is the counterpart of Suicune which will be available in Pokemon Scarlet.Iron Leaves is a dual-type Grass/Psychic Paradox Pokemon that is the counterpart of Verizion which will be available in Pokemon Violet.
At the moment, the only way to acquire these Pokemon is by battling them while the event is live and then capturing them.

POKEMON SLEEP WILL BE RELEASED IN THE SUMMER
A new Pokemon Sleep app was also revealed during the Pokemon Day Event. It aims to transform sleep into entertainment by monitoring sleep patterns and rewarding the user for the time spent sleeping.
Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokémon Company, states, “The concept of this game is for players to look forward to waking up every morning.”
The app is powered by a device shaped in the form of a disc Pokeball with a built-in accelerometer designed to track and monitor sleeping patterns.
The recorded data will be transferred to the app and categorized into one of three sleep types which are dozing, snoozing, and slumbering. Players will be able to unlock new Pokémon with varying sleep types.
Players of Pokémon Sleep will journey to a new island to work with Professor Neroli and Snorlax, wherein the former studies the nature of Pokémon sleeping habits.
The longer you sleep, the higher your score in the morning, and the more Pokémon you’ll see appear around Snorlax.
