Rage of Bahamut Season 3: Renewed or Cancelled + Release Date Predictions

Rage of Bahamut Season 3 renewal status explored!

The crossover of animes and video games has long inspired creators to produce iconic mainstream series.

Whether it is Pokemon, Castlevania, or Fate/Stay, animes based on video games continue to garner their own separate fanbase.

Back in 2014, the Rage of Bahamut collectible card game was on the rage, and looking at its popularity, an anime adaption was announced by studio MAPPA.

The premise of Rage of Bahamut is set in the magical world of Mistarcia, where humans, gods, and demons coexist.

History has it that the demon beast Bahamut had threatened to destroy the land, but the inhabitants of Mistarcia kept their differences aside and sealed its power.

The key to protecting the sealing was distributed, with one half given to the gods and the other to demons so that they would never be united and Bahamut never be released.

The story follows a bounty hunter, Favaro Leone, who prefers to live a laid-back and self-serving lifestyle despite the perils of his profession.

Favaro goes about his work, but his nemesis is another bounty hunter, Kaisar Lidfard, who seeks vengeance at all costs.

Aside from Kaisar chasing him, Favaro s’ peaceful life becomes chaos when he meets a mysterious called Amira, who possesses one-half of the Bahamut sealing key.

Will the world be safe upon this meeting as an epic battle awaits between the demons and gods along with those who wish to revive Bahamut is the central plot of the show.

Rage of Bahamut was a relative success however, six years on since the second season, fans wonder if a third season is on the cards.

To find the answer, keep scrolling as we bring you all the latest news and updates on Rage of Bahamut Season 3.

Production studios consider various financial and commercial metrics before announcing a renewal.

As mentioned earlier, during its release, Rage of Bahamut was one of the few popular worth-watching animes adapted from video games.

The primary objective of the anime was to boost video game sales, which it did, and as a result, the makers saw an opportunity to gain profits from the franchise and decided to form the second season.

Despite the second season being renewed after three years, it was rated 7.4/10 on MyAnimeList, evidencing the popularity of the anime.

The game’s player base has decreased gradually due to no significant update from the creator; however, it might not directly affect the future of the anime.

Cygames are well known for their ventures, such as Shadowverse and Dragalia, which could influence The chances of renewal of Rage of Bahamut Season 3.

While the anime s’ reviews, ratings, and popularity are favorable, a crucial factor for renewal will be the availability of the studio.

Studio MAPPA is one of the biggest production houses out there, and with that status comes a busy schedule.

Currently, the studio is occupied with mainstream series like Jujutsu Kaisen, Chainsaw Man, Hell s’ Paradise, and Attack on Titans, which are far more lucrative as compared to Rage of Bahamut.

Additionally, MAPPA has recently come under massive scrutiny regarding employee pay and welfare.

Considering it has been over six years since the season two premiere, it would not be a surprise if the studio had internally decided not to continue with the Rage of Bahamut franchise due to no monetary gain.

All in All, waiting for updates on the Rage of Bahamut Season 3 trailer or Rage of Bahamut Season 3 release date would appear futile as studio MAPPA has moved on to much more lucrative adaptions.
