Is Sebastian Stan Willing to Play Role of Young Luke Skywalker?
Sebastian Stan, recently released drama series, Pam & Tommy star, is not answering his questions playing Luke Skywalker one day.
A Romanian and American actor, Sebastian Stan, became famous for his role with Captain America as Bucky Barnes in the premiere Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011. Bucky was shown as a best friend of Steve Rogers, who later becomes Captain America, but Steve thought he had lost Bucky at the end of the premiere.
In the next Chris Evans leading movie, Captain America: Winter Soldier, there Sebastian Stan plays a protagonist role. Bucky and Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, had an amazing fight, but when Steve finds out that the villain is his lost friend Bucky, he tries to save him. Then slowly, he enters the Avengers team and helps fight them with Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
Besides Marvel Franchise, Sebastian Stan had worked and is working on other projects, one of which has been released recently named Pam & Tommy, an American biographical drama series, where Sebastian Stan is playing one of the leading roles, Tommy Lee.
With the recent release of Stan’s drama series, he had to do various interviews or promotions for it. Sebastian is still dodging all the questions regarding him playing the role of Luke Skywalker one day. Besides the Hulu series Pam & Tommy Lee, Sebastian Stan has started his 2022 with the promotion of two other projects: spy flick ‘The 355’ and a romantic thriller ‘Fresh’.
Sebastian Stan has earlier been fan-casted as Luke Skywalker, too, as fans pointed out his strange resemblance to Mark Hamill, who played the role of Luke Skywalker in the Star Wars Franchise. Fan-casting of Sebastian Stan as Luke Skywalker has been done with many editing of facial similarities with Mark Hamill.
And it would be surprising that Sebastian Stan and Mark Hamill stays in touch with each other after the idea of Sebastian Stan as Luke Skywalker was thrown into the world. On many occasions, they refer to each other as ‘father’ and ‘son’, which might have been observed in various interviews and social media posts.

In an interview with Esquire, Sebastian Stan was talking about Pam & Tommy, but the interviewer questioned him regarding the memes or headlines about him for the role of Luke Skywalker.
Sebastian Stan said, “Look, it’s really kind. Never say never. Mark Hamill is my father, you know, and he knows that, and I call him every Christmas to tell him, ‘Just want you to know I’m around.’ It’s really terrifying.”
Besides all the memes and rumours, there has been no official announcement regarding any Luke Skywalker related future projects from Lucasfilm and Disney. And without any future projects, it certainly is that Sebastian Stan won’t be able to hold Luke Skywalker Lightsaber in his hands.
Many from the Star Wars Franchise did state this idea of Sebastian Stan Luke Skywalker, one actor other than Mark Hamill for the role because of the resemblance. And Mark Hamill was able to return as a young Luke Skywalker in The Mandalorian with the help of some de-ageing technology; the idea seems valid.
Sebastian Stan is the best fit for the role of Luke Skywalker; as you can go through his hard work, his performances are amazing. Sebastian Stan is a versatile actor who is popular for his ability to showcase different personas, along with moulding himself into any role he is given. And as long as Mark Hamill goes, he will never disapprove Sebastian Stan to taking over his role.
Until now, with no announcement of the next Luke Skywalker future projects, the rumour of Sebastian Stan being the next Luke Skywalker is on hold. But if the casting for Luke Skywalker starts in the future, the role might land in Sebastian’s hands, and Mark Hamill will be giving his blessing.
