The popular Witcher Netflix Series has given a lot to process, and its next season, Witcher Season 3, is on its way to start production.
Netflix’s Witcher Series, based on the Witcher books by Andrzej Sapkowski and the Witcher video games, which had a different fan following, has become the most-viewed series on Netflix in less than 28 days of its release.
The Witcher Season 1, released in 2019 on Netflix, puts in place all the characters from the books to screen. The Witcher Series is led by three main characters which are: a Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, who hunts monsters for money, a mage; Yennefer of Vengerberg, a powerful sorcerer, and a child, Princess Cirilla of Cintra, Ciri, who has the potential to end the whole world.
The Witcher Season 1 was criticized a lot because of confusing timelines; although, it lays down the groundwork for the following adventures. In Season 1, Ciri was directed to find Geralt of Rivia, who would protect her, because her whole family was about to come to an end.
The Witcher Season 2, released in 2021, the delay was because of the global pandemic, begins from the time when Geralt and Ciri are together and on their journey to Kaer Morhen, Geralt’s hometown.
The Witcher Season 2, less criticized, includes a straighten out timeline and thrilling events containing of more horrifying monsters from season 1. During Geralt and Ciri’s journey to Kaer Morhen, they bond and meet a lot of scary monsters which came from another world.
The Witcher Season 2 comes to an end when the whole world knows about Ciri and her potential, and people like to use her powers for their own use. The deadly acts of the biggest villains in the Witchers Series were building up from season 1; anyhow, some of them were shown at the end of season 2.

The Witcher Season 3 release date hasn’t been notifyied yet; although, the Netflix gearing up on the Witcher Season 3 makes the release date possibly in 2023.
The Witcher, Geralt-led series, Henry Cavill, Witcher Season 3 awaits by the whole world. Besides Henry Cavill, Freya Allan playing the role of Ciri and Anya Chalotra in the role of Yennefer, are the two main leads in the series. The trio has become very popular, and the fans are thrilled to see three of them together on their journey.
The producer of the Witcher Series on Netflix, Steve Gaub, has already started the process of location scouting for the Witcher Season 3. With the script of The Witcher Season 3 is already written up, the core team has started the pre-production process.
The location scouting started by Steve Gaub doesn’t stated where the location actually is; but, the selection of the location should be close to the Longcross Studios, which is the new production hub of the Witcher Series.
On Instagram, Steve, the producer, has shared a photo for the potential places to film the witcher season 3. Along with Steve, the showrunner, Lauren S. Hissrich, too, has shared some scouting pictures a few days back.
Steve Gaub has shared many pictures from the Longcross Studios, where many of the things are in boxes. Moreover, Steve Gaub promises that “they definitely won’t be going smaller in Season 3 of The Witcher.”
Furthermore, the reports heard said that the filming for the Witcher Season 3 will possibly start in March 2022; but, with the gearing of production, it may change. Whatever the situation will be, when they will start or end, the witcher season 3 will definitely be released in 2023 on Netflix.
