Lauren S. Hissrich revealed that she doesn’t want the plot to go beyond the witcher books which summarizes that story will be based on the witcher books.

The showrunner reveals that the witcher season 3 will include a lot of action. She said, “There’s tons of action, there’s tons of things that are just jaw dropping when you get to them. So we’re really letting that lead our storytelling. Season 3, for example, takes place on a very, very small timeline. Not a lot of time passes, because it doesn’t need to.”

And the lead cast actor, Henry Cavill too, wants the show to follow the books as he was already a fan of Andrzej Sapkowski’s books before the series started.
