Doctor Strange 2 – Benedict Cumberbatch Comments
Doctor Strange in the Madness of Multiverse is directed by Sam Raimi, who also directed the Tobey Maguire Spider Man trilogy. In a conversation with Empire, Benedict Cumberbatch talked about the upcoming sequel, Doctor Strange 2.
Benedict Cumberbatch stated that Sam Raimi has brought his signature style in the MCU phase 4 and shared his feelings about how excited he is for the audience to see the film. Benedict Cumberbatch says, “Once it became Sam, it was always about making it a Sam Raimi picture. Your head’s going to be spun.”
An interesting fact about the film is that the original co-writer/director Scott Derrickson departed the film because of creative differences; Doctor Strange 2 has been praised for its creative efforts to date. Elizabeth Olsen has commented that Sam Raimi’s direction on this sequel has made the scariest Marvel movie yet.
The discussion of stars in the film also falls in line with the previous reports of Scott Derrickson departed and with the new director started to work on it from scratch. Sam Raimi and Waldron were chosen to start from zero to figure out their own shared vision for the story on the basis of Scott Derrickson’s horror foundations.
Various theories about many characters appearing in Doctor Strange 2 are flowing in the minds of fans, as Patrick Stewart was shown in the trailer returning as Professor X. But the audience can do nothing but wait for the premiere to reveal its secrets and mysteries in the multiverse.
