HIGH RISE INVASION SEASON 2: RELEASE DATE UPDATE + PLOT REVEALED
High Rise Invasion season 2 has kept the fans waiting for a long time; Netflix, wake up!
What is it about death game fantasy anime or TV series which has captivated the minds of many people in recent times?
You might be familiar with such survival thrillers as Tv shows like Squid Games, and Alice in Borderland is, based on such tropes.
I suppose there is peak excitement and anticipation when seeing the characters survive perilous situations coupled with deadly high stakes.
High Rise Invasion fits the same description as the Netflix original series and has become an instant hit in the fandom. The 12-episode action Isekai series doesn’t waste time and sets the backdrop in the show’s first few minutes.
Highschooler Yuri Honjo is transported into a new world filled with skyscrapers connected by wooden suspension bridges. This unique place is filled with masked figures who shoot and kill anyone in front of them.
Yuri got to know her brother Rika and was transported into this deadly world. The plot follows Yuri s’ journey of reuniting with her brother and uncovering all the secrets of this sadistic world.
Since season one ended, fans of the show have been demanding High Rise Invasion Season 2, but there is a big sush on the renewal from Netflix. So, let’s find out what the latest update is on High Rise Invasion Season 2.
WHAT IS THE RELEASE DATE FOR HIGH RISE INVASION SEASON 2?
Unfortunately, there is no official announcement from Netflix or Zero-G for a renewal of High Rise Invasion Season 2.
Season one was released way back on 25th February 2021, and it’s been more than a year since we had any updates for season 2. It’s too hard to contemplate the silence around a renewal announcement since Season one did quite well.
High Rise Invasion was consistently in the top 10 shows of the week and even got up to the 4th spot on 1st March 2021.
High Rise Invasion is rated 6.7/10 and ranked #5061 with 251k members on My Anime List, which isn’t the worst but do those numbers scream renewal for season 2? We like to think so.
Well, it’s unlikely that we can expect a renewal anytime soon, much less a High Rise Invasion Season 2 Release date.
If Netflix plans a renewal, our best guess is for next year, 2023, which is a standard production time.

HIGH RISE INVASION SEASON 2 PLOT
The final episode of High Rise Invasion season one, “This is High Rise Invasion,” finished on a cliffhanger. We see Angel mask stopping Snipe mask s’ bullet with his hands as the latter steps down from a fight.
Ein and Mayuko look to take down Angel’s mask, but he proves far too powerful for the pair. Aohara steps in by slowing time and shoots him, but Angel mask catches his bullet and throws it back, piercing Aohara s neck.
Mayuko s’ controller lets her know she needs to buy time to activate her maximum power ability. Tanabe tries to fight and faces off against Angel mask but is defeated within seconds as Mayuko runs away.
Yuri manages to beat Swimmer mask and goes to help Mayuko, whose defragmentation is completed, and she fights angel mask toe to toe. The sniper mask gets a signal from Mayuko and asks Kuon to use to rail gun on the angel mask from the main building, and she does so and blows up the building with the angel mask inside it.
To Mayuko s’ surprise, Angel mask appears from the rubble, and before he kills her, Yuri attacks angel mask and brings him down to his knees. Yuri approaches to kill him, but the God s’ command tells her that their wavelengths have matches, and she can now control the angel mask, which she accepts after Tanabe convinces her.
The episode ends with Mamoru learning that Rika and Yuri are siblings and decides to use them against each other. Yuri and his allies regather and start their fight against Mamoru.
High Rise Invasion Season 2 will look to have the reuniting of Yuri and Rika despite the latter s’ precarious position. Mamoru will try to manipulate Rika into believing that her sister is responsible for the war.
The second season will also debut the Emotionless mask Haori, introducing Yuri to new equipment. There are three God candidates, and the second season will probably introduce more of them. The relationship between Kuon and the sniper mask will also be interesting, and the latter doesn’t betray any feelings for Kuon.
It’s difficult to say what parts of the manga will be adapted as season one left out a good chunk of content to fit the series within 12 episodes.
HIGH RISE INVASION MANGA CATCHUP
The manga series was written by Tsuina Miura and illustrated by Takahiro Oba and began serialization in the Manga Box app from December 2013 to April 2019. The series contains 21 volumes with 257 chapters and got completed on 24th April 2021.
A spin-off series titled High Rise Invasion Arrive has also been completed with seven volumes and published as of April 2021.
The first season adapted 12 volumes of the manga, meaning there are 9 volumes/107 chapters as source material for High Rise Invasion Season 2. A third season with the spin-off series is possible if season 2 does well.
High Rise Invasion manga is rated 7.1/10 and ranked #5407 with 44k members on MyAnimeList.

CONCLUSION
High Rise Invasion Season 2 looks like a long wait as the creators and distributors of the show have kept things on the low. We hope there is some official announcement confirming the renewal status for season two.
