Tet informs the pair about the world’s absolute rules, and conflicts are settled through games wherein cheating is acknowledged to outdo your opponent.
Sora and Shiro travel across the world to learn more about its working, which leads to the only human-inhabited kingdom, Elkia.
In Elkia, the duo meets Stephanie Dola, who wants to overthrow her father from the throne and bring sovereignty to the kingdom.
Touched by the girl s’ ambitions, Sora and Shiro decide to help her by participating in tournaments and regaining the realm.
Can they conquer the kingdom and defeat god itself is the central plot of the show.
No Game No Life is a classic Isekai anime canvased by bright colors and an overpowered step-sibling relationship. The mind-bending games that Sora and Shiro play are executed to perfection. This is one of the few Isekai anime where the plot is the king, as everything else boosts the show’s subtlety.

NO GAME NO LIFE SEASON 2 RENEWAL STATUS
No Game No Life Season one aired from 9th April 2014 to 25th June 2014 for 12 episodes. The first season was followed by an anime film titled No Game No Life: Zero, which was released on 15th July 2017.
As of writing, there is no information from the creators or writer on the renewal of No Game No Life Season 2.

Production studios consider various consumer and financial metrics before announcing a renewal.
Despite premiering almost nine years ago, No Game No Life continues to remain in high demand as fans have been eagerly waiting for a second installment.
Usually, series are canceled due to poor ratings, low streaming numbers, or average disc sales, but in the case of No Game No Life, this wasn’t the case.
The first season was massively popular, considering it was released alongside other mainstream series such as Naruto Shippuden, Dragon Ball Z Kai, Jojo s’ Bizarre Adventures, and Fairy Tail.
So, if the viewing figures and popularity are high, why hasn’t No Game No Life Season 2 been renewed yet?
CONTROVERSY AND PLAGIARISM AROUND NO GAME NO LIFE
A big reason behind the lack of renewal was mainly due to copyright issues with the light novel no Game No Life.
Author Yuu Kamiya faced allegations of plagiarism in 2014, right around the time the first season of the anime was released. Some artists have claimed that the author traced over their work for his characters, essentially stealing their designs.
The author of no Game, No Life has apologized for this, and there was also a rumor that he paid them. But the Plagiarism issue is not only involved with the light novel but also with the anime as well.
In episode seven of no Game No Life season one, the magic circle design was copied from a Japanese illustrator. The team behind the anime apologized for this.
Due to these kinds of conflicts, Madhouse has left this project which raises the question that if Madhouse left no Game, No Life, then why we got the movie? Because the allegation came out soon after season one and after Madhouse had already announced the movie.
Studios very rarely announce that they are leaving a project if they don’t intend on continuing it; hence is no official statement that Madhouse has left the anime.
But the leaving of Madhouse doesn’t mean we won’t get another season. Madhouse has left a lot of animes with one season, such as One Punch Man.
If a new studio does take charge of the second season, then we can expect No Game No Life Season 2 trailer and No Game No Life Season 2 release date by 2025.

NO GAME NO LIFE LIGHT NOVEL AND MANGA CATCHUP
No Game No Life light novel is written and illustrated by Yuu Kamiya. It began publishing under the MF Bunko J imprint between 25th April 2012 and 25th January 2018.
The light novel has been collected into 11 volumes, with the latest issue released on 25th May 2021.
In May 2011, Kamiya was diagnosed with stomach cancer and was discharged from the hospital in August 2021.After the diagnosis, he decided to focus on writing light novels because they are more compatible with treatment.

No Game No Life manga is written by Yuu Kamiya with illustrations from his wife, Mashiro Hiiragi. It began serialization in the media factory on 27th January 2013 with English translation by Seven Seas Entertainment.
The manga has been collected into 2 volumes, with the latest issue released on 8th January 2021.

The official Kadokawa YouTube channel released a promotional video for the “No Game No Life” series to commemorate the series surpassing 6 million copies in circulation.
The sales include both the light novel series and the manga (digital and physical releases combined).
