But before the inevitable can happen, a supreme being who calls itself as “Being X” stops time and questions Kosuke why he lacks faith and doesn’t believe in God.
Kosuke claims if God were to exist, he would never let him face such circumstances, and this absurdity would also not happen.
Being X concludes Kosuke doesn’t live in the present and consequently reincarnates him in a dire situation to see if his faith awakens.
Kosuke is reincarnated as an orphan named Tanya Degurechaff, and as she grows up with high magical aptitude.
The story s’ premise is set in an alternate earth akin to wartime in the real world wherein the Imperial Empire (German) is at war with enemies Francois Republican Army (France) and Legadonia Entente Alliance(Swenden/Norway).
Tanya is recruited in the Empire s’ Mage Corps for the war effort and slowly becomes the most feared mage around the world.
Despite the high ranks and awards, Tanya s’ biggest obstacle remains Being X, who continues to question her faith.
Will Tanya come out of her atheism and accept Being X as he propels the Empire into becoming the most powerful nation is the central plot of the show.
Saga of Tanya the Evil Season one was a relative success as compared to other isekai titles, and fans were wondering if there would be a second season or not.

Saga of Tanya the Evil Season one aired from 6th January 2017 to 31st March 2017 for 12 episodes.
On 19th June 2021, a special program of The Saga of Tanya the Evil by AbemaTV called Survivor Memorial Roundtable: Reliving the Fierce Battle, Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2 was officially announced.

Saga of Tanya the Evil was incidentally the first project of studio NUT, and hence it is understandable why the second season is yet to announce a premiere date.
Following Saga of Tanya the Evil season one release, studio NUT worked on two more animes, namely FLCL Alternative and Deca-Dence.

SAGA OF TANYA THE EVIL SEASON 2 PLOT
In the final episode of Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2, “How to use a Victory” we see while everyone is celebrating the truce, Tanya tells Rerugen to remain vigilant as the war can restart at any time.
While the war might be curtailed for now, none of the enemies of the Empire would like to admit defeat and see them rise to power.
Tanya s’ words come to fruition as the rest of the world powers form an alliance against the Empire. Furthermore, a new republic is born in Tunis wherein General Lugo of the Republican Army takes charge.
Tanya, along with her squad, is sent To counter the Free Republic army as she explains how war is proof that God has failed to influence mankind.
Meanwhile, in the Unified States, Mary Sioux (blessed with Being X’s power) enlists in the U.S. Army in search of Tanya, seeking vengeance for her father’s death.
The first season and the Saga of Tanya the Evil: The Movie covered three volumes of the light novel which means Saga of Tanya the Evil season 2 will pick up from volume four.
Although Tanya defeated Mary and Strategic HQ plan is set into action, the units assigned are not experienced enough to execute it.
To remedy the situation, Tanya creates her own Operation Door Knocker, which acquires supplies, tanks, and personnel using her new authority.
Unfortunately, her troops desert her, which leads to Visha sending an SOS signal to the 203rd.
Meanwhile, Unified States are building allies through private corporations, whereas Salamander Kampfgruppe takes on the Federation and the Commonwealth.
Tanya arrives at the scene and notices a split in tactics, and it is upon her to sort out the problem.
She captures a few soldiers and interrogates their motivation which is quickly revealed to be Nationalism. The Empire starts funding and supplying ethnic minorities to crush their rebellion.
Tanya turns 13 and is awarded the White Winged Grand Iron Cross, but the celebration is cut down as the Kampfgruppe is being broken up.
But the good news is, a new combat group will be assigned to her as she re-joins the 203rd to stop the Norden supply.
The new mission entails taking down the Anjou queen carrying supplies, but Mary is back again, unbeknownst to Tanya.
