Gaikotsu Kishi-sama Tadaima Isekai e Odekakechuu, also known as Skeleton Knight in Another World, is a Japanese anime series that falls under the Isekai-action genre. It is based on the light novel written by Ennki Hakari.
The narrative revolves around an anonymous individual who is an active participant in a computer-based gaming environment. The protagonist suddenly finds himself transported into the virtual world of the fantasy game he had been engaging with, having been metamorphosed into the avatar that he had been employing during gameplay.
The boy transformed into Knight is shocked to learn that he has no body as he finds out his reflection has no skin but only a skeleton. In this unknown territory, he sees a group of bandits attacking two women who he saves, only to find out that she is a noblewoman called Lauren alongside her maid Rita.
In this new world, he begins using his in-game character name and introduces himself as Arc. He refuses to meet the King as a reward to protect his real appearance, but Lauren gives him a passport to travel throughout the city.
As Arc traverses through the city, he quickly learns the disparity between Humans and Elves, wherein the latter have been enslaved by people of the Kingdom.
Elf’s slavery is only the tip of the iceberg as the ugly façade of the Holy East Revlon kingdom holds many secrets. Can Arc relive the Elves from their human capturers and overcome evil while also regaining his real body is the central plot of the show.
Skelton Knight in Another World season one had mixed reception as viewers felt the show was a rip-off Overlord with gruesome slavery scenes while others consider the series has potential.

Season 1 of the anime series Skeleton Knight in Another World was released on April 7th, 2022 and concluded on June 23rd, 2022. The series consists of twelve episodes, each with a runtime of approximately 23-25 minutes.
As of writing, there is no update by the author or studio regarding renewal of Skelton Knight in Another World season 2.

The sales figures were below the expected threshold of three million copies, which would have indicated a favorable financial return. Skeleton Knight In Another World manga was published in Overlap’s Comic Gardo in February 2017 by Akira Sawano.
The manga series credited Akira as the author while KeG was responsible for the character designs. Overlap compiled the individual chapters into a total of eleven volumes, with the first volume hitting the market in August 2017 and the eleventh becoming available on July 25th, 2022.

While the overall story is filled with adventure and fantasy, fans have been critical of the unnecessary violence depicted, especially in the show’s opening.
An isekai anime is bound to have a fair bit of fan service and light violence, but fans expect the focus to be more on world-building and character development in Skeleton Knight in Another World season 2.
