Stranger Things Season 5: A Necessary Change in the Cast Ages will be implemented
Although two more episodes of season 4 are still to be released this July 1, Stranger Things Season 5, the last season, is already in talks.
One issue in the show that has caught viewers’ attention in the current season is the age problem of the main cast.
As we know, there has been a long gap between seasons, especially the one between seasons 3 and 4, due to COVID, which was unpredictable. The issue is that the main cast, consisting of young actors, has grown up.
And this was noticed by the makers of the show, the Duffer Brothers, who told TVLine that Stranger Things season 5 might jump forward in time to catch up with the casts’ accurate ages.
Change due to cast ages
As Ross Duffer said, “I’m sure we will do a time jump. Ideally, we’d have shot (Seasons 4 and 5) back to back, but there was just no feasible way to do that.”
As of now, season 4 of Stranger Things has been divided into two unequal parts, and the final two climax episodes of the current season are yet to be released.
As per reports, the reason for this s plit was the work left to be completed on the part of the production team, as there was still work left in the VFX department. And that makes it quite apparent that they could not shoot seasons 4 and 5 back to back.
How much will the time jump be?
The question about the length of a time jump is still a mystery as it might just be an idea. But we can make predictions according to the current events in Hawkins. Nothing in the story now demands a time jump; therefore, there will be some explanation.
Why the lives of people at Hawkins change all of a sudden and how it will fit in the story is a mystery. But the age factor of the main cast is a problem that needs to be addressed, and they are no longer kids.
The show began in 2016, which makes them six years older as of now; a long time has indeed passed.
The current ages of the main cast can hint at how far they are from their characters’ ages. Although playing a younger role while being of older age is just a show business tradition. The current generation of the actors is as follows-

Audiences can easily guess that they can cut the last part of high school from the lives of the lead cast and could be in college or somewhere beyond school. The cast members who are 30 or close to it are primarily in their final year of school. At the same time, the younger ones are still in the early part of high school.
Although we know that’s how most Hollywood works, these kids have grown up well into their looks according to age. It could be hinting towards a college-like Stranger Things Season 5.
It could bring about a lot of confusion and chaos as they will have to establish a new story, add new characters, and dispose of previous supporting actors. Or, they could skip to the final and most stressful year of high school, the final one, and show them all graduating and choosing different paths.

Return of Vecna in Stranger Things Season 5?
As for the Supervillain- Vecna, in Stranger Things Season 5, a new piece of information has concluded that we will see our heroes fighting him again. Although the fight is far from over in season 4 and the chapter of Vecna is yet to be concluded, Jamie Campbell Bower, the actor who plays Vecna, hinted toward his return in the final season.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Campbell says, “Let me put it this way: I know about season five. Take from that what you will.”
A popular guess can be that Vecna will either be temporarily thought of as dead, and some might lose their lives in the process. The time skip could help the writers to give him time to regenerate, recover, and be back for a final fight between him and Eleven.
To make it more fun, writers might like to gather all the monsters from Upside Down that the gang has fought against until now. There could be a final battle with flashbacks, new learnings, and more blood might be wasted. We could get to know the background of Bower’s origin story of becoming “One.”
The true origin of Eleven and the program is yet to be discovered in detail as there is very little information on it.
Stranger Things Season 5 release date
Because Stranger Things Season 5 has not yet been shot, there is no release date for the final chapter. But there was a gap of three years between seasons 3 and 4, which fans could easily blame on the pandemic.
Probably, the fans will not have to wait for too long this time to witness the final season of the epic series. But we should not hope for Stranger Things Season 5 until 2023 or 2024.
