There aren’t many genres as popular as Isekai and why not being transported into another world filled with magical abilities with you being the main character is still a dream for many of us, especially if your life is monotonous like Satoru Mikami.
Time I got reincarnated as a Slime is an isekai anime produced by Eight Bit and adapted from the light novel writings of Fuse. The story follows a 37-year-old man Satoru Mikami who is bound by tedious corporate life in Tokyo but has no qualms about it.
Despite his self-proclaimed perfect life, Satoru’s biggest problem is his lack of a girlfriend. To make matters worse, Satoru is stabbed and killed during a catchup with his colleague and her fiancé.
As he is paling into his death, a voice begins chanting multiple unrecognizable commands, which Satoru fails to understand. After the fatal incident, he wakes up and finds himself reincarnated in a completely different world.
But that’s not the biggest surprise, as his body has been turned into a blob of blue slime, which he later finds out can mimic and devour anything using the “predator power.”
He meets a dragon called Veldora, who has been sealed for 300 years for creating havoc and burning the town down to ashes. The slime Satoru promises to free him as the Veldora renames Satoru Rimuru.
Due to the friendship of Rimuru and Veldora, the power struggle between the town and the dragon is broken as a result, Rimuru becomes the new leader of the great forest of Jura.
Can Rimuru break the shackles of Veldora and protect the inhabitants of Jura from invading foreign powers is the central plot of the show.
The fandom has received the light-hearted, goofy Isekai show well, with the show completing two seasons already.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime season one ran from 5th October to 22nd March 2019 for 24 episodes. The second season was split into two parts, with part one airing from 12th January 2021 to 30th March 2021 for 12 episodes and part two running from 6th July 2021 to 21st September 2021 for 12 episodes.
Following the second season on 21st September 2021, a theatrical film for That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime was announced.
On 2nd November 2022, the show s’ official Twitter account revealed the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime movie trailer which confirmed the That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime movie release date as 25th November 2022 in theatres and global release in July 28, 2023 also in Blu-ray & DVD in Japan same date.

Writer of the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime manga series Fuse, was thrilled with the announcement, and in an interview, he said:
“I started writing this work as a hobby, but it’s going to be made into a movie! I was so dumbfounded at first because it felt almost unrealistic. Please look forward to seeing how it will turn out.”

That time I Got Reincarnated as A Slime light novel is written by Fuse and illustrated by Mitz Vah. It began serialization in Micro Magazine on 30th May 2014. The light novel has been compiled into 14 volumes, with the latest issue being on 29th March 2019.

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime movie will feature an original story to the tenSura timeline. The storyline will follow Rimuru and his friends as they get stuck in a conspiracy surrounding a mysterious girl.
The Scarlet Bond events take place immediately following the second season’s conclusion and introduce an unexpected foe – Hiiro, an Ogre survivor who also happens to be Benimaru’s brother.
Benimaru s’ ogre comrade will also be a central part of the Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bond movie.
