On reaching, he finds Mahiru on the other side of the lift with the umbrella, waiting to return it to him. Amane, thoroughly wet and suffering from cold, gives the cold shoulder to Mahiru and returns to his apartment.
Mahiru offers to repay the favor by doing chores around the house for him and thus begins the strange friendship between the angel and Amane.
